2 out of 5 eggsWorks great...while it works

Pros: Plugged right in and worked like a charm. Fast and easy. Good speeds, few complaints.

Cons: One thing I noticed right away was that, when my computer would go to sleep and subsequently wake up, network speeds would be almost non-existent until I rebooted. This was frustrating, but manageable so I didn't really care.

However, after about 2.5 years, the card is failing. It is slowing down intermittently and, with increasing frequency, acting as though there are no connections to be seen (while 2 laptops, 2 phones, and 2 tablets are all connecting with no problems). Usually either reseating the card or (rarely) disabling/re-enabling the device in Device Manager would correct the issue, but not any more--now all it reports is that the card cannot be started.

Other Thoughts: This was a great card and I really enjoyed how simple it was. Got the job done with no fuss. Now, however, I have to mark it down because of how quickly (and seemingly without cause) it has failed. Sad times :(

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 16 months

Pros: Easy to install and use. Fast wireless connection.

Cons: Died after 16 months of use. I bought two of these (on 5/31/2013) for a pair of HTPCs I built and one of them died just the other week. So far the other one is still working. The one that died is the one in the HTPC in the living room which is used frequently. The other one is in the master bedroom which is used seldom.

4 out of 5 eggsNot as Bad As Before

Pros: Similar speed to wired connection for me, connects fast, solid connection

Cons: Seems to be quite sensitive to case placement, heat and other factors can cause it to drop network repeatedly.

Other Thoughts: Im writing this to recant the previous negative. I decided to move this card in my case to my very bottom pci slot and my network issues for the time being have ceased. So if you own this and have issues look at the proximity of this card to your graphics card or other hot hardware inside your case.

2 out of 5 eggsNot going so well

Pros: Bought this three months ago. Spectacular speeds, solid, easy install.

Cons: In the last month has begun to drop connection. I thought it was due to some of the games I played as they had previous bugs that would cause wireless to drop. Now it does it randomly with or without a game running.

Other Thoughts: I just had to re-install the driver for this, off the disc as the one on the site would not work, the windows provided would not work. I also had to physically relocate the card, this may or may not be the cards fault. I will give it a try before buying a new/different brand though.

1 out of 5 eggsDied After Three Years

Pros: Worked great for the first two years...

Cons: Then slowly died. Now only gets .46 megabits/second download speeds and even less up. Freezes up and gives me 5,000+ ping in online games at random times.

Other Thoughts: Disabled this and switched to an older USB wifi adapter and enjoyed 30+ megabits/second download speeds again with little latency. Time for this product to go in the trash.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a short time

Pros: Card worked perfectly for a year. Had the desktop across the house from my wireless router/gateway and had 3 bars.

Cons: Card started to fail after roughly 11 months. Had intermittent internet connectivity issues I thought had been caused by malware. After about 13 months I had no internet connectivity even though my computer said otherwise. I was able to ping small packets, but anything larger than 250 bytes (which isn't much) would come back with a time-out message. Hardwired my router straight to my computer and I have internet again!

Other Thoughts: Gave 2 eggs only because it did work flawlessly for the first 10 months.

5 out of 5 eggsWireless Adapter

Pros: Good strong signal and much better speed than my last adapter (n150)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I got this because I use our HTPC as a video server for the rest of the computers in the house and needed a fast adapter.

This will stream HD video to two other computers at once without any stuttering (never tried more at once)

Got driver off Rosewill site and had no problems at all.

4 out of 5 eggsGood sound, software could be better

Pros: Sound quality better than my on board Realtek audio (with some work).
Comes with low profile bracket.

Cons: Basic drivers are somewhat easy to install. Interface could be better. Win 8 install issues but I none on Win 7.

Other Thoughts: Using this card due to on board Realtek audio dyed.
