2 out of 5 eggsBroke in 2 months

Pros: Worked for awhile got good speeds

Cons: No windows 8 support(Little problem kind of my fault)
Crashed sometimes
Broke in 2 months

Other Thoughts: I am writing this 4 days since writing a different review on this adapter. In 4 days it broke I came back from being gone the whole day I couldn't connect to anything. The adapter wouldn't work. Since this has no windows 8 support I couldn't do anything with drivers.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Adapter

Pros: Good Speeds

Cons: Have had crashes.

Other Thoughts: I've had this for awhile to put it on my desktop computer. I had no way to connect Ethernet so this helped. This picks up a good signal and I have had almost no problems. Sometimes it crashes but restarts within a minute and that may of been my fault for overworking it. Normally I have low ping when gaming which is what my internet gets.

5 out of 5 eggswell supported, good range

Pros: with the extension base this is excellent for troublesome locations. tried many different dongles, with a lot of pain. this one gets a great signal, no driver issues on any device tested so far.

Cons: only 2.4GHz, which it states, blocks other usb ports if plugged in directly.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sturdy construction, replaceable antenna, and works for ordinary use.

Cons: The current Linux driver does not support "master" or "monitor" modes. This means you can't use this to set up a homebrew wireless AP or a wireless IDS.

The adapter is larger than the USB standard permits: it will obstruct any horizontally or vertically adjacent ports. If space is an issue, you'll need to plug it in via a USB extension cord.

Other Thoughts: This uses the RTL8188SU chip. The Linux driver (as of kernel 3.18) is the "r8712u" driver in the staging tree.

5 out of 5 eggsBest little cheap wireless adapter in Texas

Pros: I always get 5 full bars when connected to router in the next room. I tried dual band and got only 2 bars. I had to dispose of all my D-Link adapters because they didn't provide drivers for Windows 8. It was painful because I had many of them too. No mode D-Link for me...ever. I download torrents often at 1.5-1.6 MBS with it.

Cons: No cons whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I will respect Rosewill from now on.

5 out of 5 eggsGeneric Goodness

Pros: I've had zero issues with this adapter. Mine is working according to the devices specifications. Keep in mind, however, I live in a small dwelling, so this review would be useless for those in a large home.

Cons: The range is decent, but it probably will not compare to the $50-$100 adapters. Even if you are getting "5 Bars", you have to consider that the bars in your system tray only give you the receive signal. Connections can be inconsistent sometimes if the transmitter is too weak for a return signal back to the router, even with full bars.

Other Thoughts: For small to medium sized homes, this is a good unit. I get decent rates from it. For larger two story homes, you may consider something a bit pricier. Not a good device for two story homes.

4 out of 5 eggson raspberry pi

Pros: installed on a raspberry pi (A+ and B+) using volumio image, and it works like a charm without the need to mess around with any driver. I picked this one due to the antenna. While the raspberry is fairly close to the router, i do not get a huge reception but it seems ok to stream music.

Cons: Not much really. the small downsize is the usb connector. If you have something else close to is (i.e. raspberry B+ has the ethernet next to usb) then it'll probably bump into it. this is a fairly wide device and a short usb connector.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as Advertised

Pros: -Installed drivers quickly

-Solid connection to my network, even better than my lappy with wireless built in (in the same location)

Cons: -None so far!

Other Thoughts: Overall, wonderful product. You can't beat the price and it really does just work. It's showing 5 bars and 87% signal strength and it's upstairs on the opposite side of the house from the router that's broadcasting.
