1 out of 5 eggsships with vista drivers only

Pros: Easy install.
Easy uninstall.
Collects dust excellently.

Cons: This PCI card would have been my only way of connecting my PC to the Internet. Unfortunately the only drivers they ship with this product are for Windows Vista, so I can't even do that. After installing them and dealing with multiple crashes and subsequent system restores I just gave up. Now I have a brand new part for my misc. useless hardware collection.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE NO WAY OF DOWNLOADING THE CORRECT DRIVERS.

1 out of 5 eggsToo bad

Pros: Full bars, long cable. First day pulled in a lot more signals and with full bars.

Cons: After the fourth time using it it started dropping connection. Now it only sees three signals out of about twelve. None of which are the open signal that I use.

Other Thoughts: After reading reviews I took a chance not expecting greatness. I thought I would get a little more than one months of usage.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!

Pros: Very fast, long range.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to get wireless on my desktop when needed and it always works great. I can download up to my cap (25 mbps) with my ISP and get very fast speeds transferring files over the network. Huge range on this guy! Full bars 60 ft away from the router through 3 walls! Love it!

1 out of 5 eggsdrops signal

Pros: great signal strength, my router is on the first floor and my desktop on the second.

Cons: this think is VERY unreliable. It will randomly for no reason drop the signal all together. this is easily fixed by unplugging the device and plugging it back in. being as I play games online i will be looking to get another adapter or just go ahead and pay my ISP to come out and put a network jack upstairs. it sucks to be in the middle of a raid or worse in the middle of a race and drop connection

4 out of 5 eggsRosewill Wireless Adapter

Pros: Very fast and consistent.

Cons: After a time of owning this, it has stopped working. I had to purchase another adapter because of the inefficiency of USB wireless adapters.

Other Thoughts: While it worked, it was great.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing power and Signal Strength

Pros: Amazing Signal strength. The router I hook to is more than 100 feet away and I get perfectly 5 bars, even at the height of the day's radio frequency interference. It also runs at the maximum speed the router allows no problem, with no packet loss. This is all despite the Wifi hotspot for my apartments being in another building across the parking long. The device it self is high quality in construction, though the little it dock it comes with might be unnecessary, but it's nice to have. The Antenna it self is a good 9 inches long and it's got amazing power.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is that this one didn't come with the manager my Encore wifi adapter came with. Which means that I'm not getting an exact read on what my current signal strength is, nor on what the link quality is. Which is disappointing. But that in and of it self isn't a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination.

Other Thoughts: Of all of the external wifi adapters I've owned, or borrowed; this one is actually the best I've tried. It certainly shows that too, because it's one antenna is longer than the ones that have two that I've tried. I've used ones with two antennas that together aren't as long as the one on this, and they did almost as good. But none of them could sit across the room and still get five bars. I had bought a fifteen foot USB cable to go along with this planning to hang it in the window that faces the apartment building office. That was not necessary. so the cable is used for the charging cord for my MP3 player so that I can at least wander around a bit while charging up. Also the cable that comes with it's little stand/dock is at least 4 feet long which means you have lots of slack to place the adapter itself where ever you want to.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent, but wifi cuts out on occasion

Pros: Works most of the time, low latency

Cons: Doesn't work ALL the time. Occasionally I'll have the wifi cut out while I'm playing an online game, which forces me to unplug the dongle and restart. This happens on average once a day.

Other Thoughts: It's cheap, you get what you pay for. I'm going to return mine, and if I get a better one that doesn't drop wifi connections then I'll update this review

5 out of 5 eggsTerrific WiFi Units

Pros: Versatility for connecting. Intuitive, easy to use software.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Have been using these on my home built computers for better than a year now.
2 computers have XP and one has Windows 7.
I have all 3 of them communicating with my system in rooms that are 10 to 35 feet away from my D-Link DIR 655 router.
Have never had a connect problem or drop out with any of them.
In fact one is connected to my living room computer that I use exclusively for streaming.
Again - no problems or drop out.
Versatility is great. You can plug them into any USB port.
If room is a factor use the base with it's extension cord and place the antenna on a table top or on top of your computer.
Bottom line - They work - I highly recommend these high gain antennas.

2 out of 5 eggsGood (at Times)

Pros: - Works perfectly (most of the time)
- Cheap
- Comes with Antenna

Cons: - Drops Signal occasionally, which can be a real pain when your in the middle of a game.

Other Thoughts: If you don't mind the occasional disconnect, then go for it. Otherwise, look for something else.
