High transfer data rate –Maximum data rate 54Mbps in 802.11g and 300Mbps in 802.11n.
64/128-bit WEP, WPA, WPA2 and IEEE802.1x functions for high level of security.

The IEEE 802.11n Draft prohibits using High Throughput with WEP or TKIP as the unicast cipher. If you use these encryption methods (e.g. WEP, WPA-TKIP), your data rate will drop to 54 Mbps. Rosewill recommend setting your router’s wireless encryption as WPA-AES or WPA2-AES or update the latest firmware, in order to keep your wireless transfer rate at N speed.

3 out of 5 eggsaverage stuff

Pros: not bad once you get them going. compared to other Rosewill stuff, this is their highest quality product.

Cons: for some reason, didn't connect right away. but after diddlin' around with it awhile, got it goin'. sometimes doesn't connect after initial bootup, hafta disconnect unit from usb port and then reconnect. then it works alright.

Other Thoughts: not a bad buy for the price. but I'm learning to avoid Rosewill stuff like the plague. it just ain't worth the hassles.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great so far

Pros: Works great, smaller profile which is ideal for a laptop. Really good range. Software for OS X seems to work well.

Cons: Specs list it as being compatible with OS X 10.4, but the driver for 10.4 is not on the included CD. It could, however, be downloaded from the Rosewill website so that wasn't a huge deal. Sometimes will lose connection when computer goes to sleep, which I found I have to close the utility software and restart it to get reconnected which is kind of a annoyance.

Other Thoughts: I also have the Rosewill RNX-EasyN400 router and the RNX-EasyN1 adapter and have had a great experience with both. Will continue to use these products and use this brand in the future.

3 out of 5 eggsWould be great if it stayed connected

Pros: 300mbps Wireless N speeds. Small & fairly low profile. Cheap compared to what the big box stores are charging for a 300mbps Wireless N USB adapter (I've seen $30-80).

Cons: Connection randomly drops for no reason. Adapter randomly cannot be detected by Windows, forcing me to reboot.

I bought this to replace an internal PCI Wireless N card. That card worked perfectly, but I added a second video card to my rig which blocked the PCI slot so I had to take it out. Unfortunately this USB adapter is incredibly unreliable.

Other Thoughts: Would be a great adapter if it worked properly. Will probably replace this in the near future.

2 out of 5 eggsAverage at Best

Pros: It works sometimes.

Cons: It drops signal a lot.

Other Thoughts: It may just be a Windows 8 problem but this device has many connection issues using it.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: Works as intended

Cons: I am running Windows 7 x64. Kept getting disconnected at first (like some other users have posted) and also had a few problems getting it to keep working. I believe that part of the problem is the Rosewill software/driver that comes with this device. I simply uninstalled the software from my computer and had windows search for this driver/software online. It has worked perfect ever since.

Other Thoughts: Make sure that your router/modem is configured properly for this device.

2 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: It works!

Cons: The speeds on this thing are very slow. The room with the CPU that has this in it is about 8 feet away. The speeds are 1GB or less all the time. Don't buy this piece of junk .

3 out of 5 eggsWorks great with XP 32bits

Pros: Connected to my older pc with xp 32bit os, it works reliably and fast.

Cons: Connected to my newer pc with win 7 64bit os, it is very unstable. Seems the driver cannot support win 7 64bit os.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as it has the same chipset as the Belkin N300 Mini Wireless USB Adapter 7D2102, which works beautifully on my new pc. Since this has problem with connecting to my new pc, I can only attached this to my old pc.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Adapter

Pros: Slim
Win7 recognizes without included drivers
Great connection speeds

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I've had this adapter for almost 3 years. I watch a lot of videos online & it never skips a beat. Paired with my wireless-N router, 720p videos on YouTube load/buffer like a dream. Tested with Netflix & received the same results. Great upload speeds as well...hasn't failed once. Considering purchasing an additional for my laptop.
