2 out of 5 eggsBudget component

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe - Wireless N300 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface

Pros: -Cheap
-Includes "long range antenna"
-Easy set up

Cons: -Very poor connection integrity (lost connection frequently)
-Sub par range

Other Thoughts: Only 30' from the router with only 1 wall in between the range was consistently 3/5 bars. Even with a consistent connection reading connection was lost every two hour on average. There were days were I wouldn't have any issues, but some where I would loose connection every twenty minutes.

1 out of 5 eggsSpend a little more

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe - Wireless N300 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface

Pros: Easy install, cheap.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty great!

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe - Wireless N300 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface

Pros: Really easy to install, super high speed, its just as good as a direct connection (tested and confirmed) the antenna are adjustable and it looks very unobtrusive in my system.

Cons: Software could definitely be better. After I upgraded from windows 7 to 10 my computer started to crash whenever i was watching video, which made no sense to me because i knew for a fact that all my hardware was working properly. I updated all the drivers in my system and this was the last one i touched, and it turns out that was the issue the entire time. And it wasn't on the disk, i had to go to rosewill's website and get it from there.

Other Thoughts: I'd really give it a 3.5 out of 5, a wireless card shouldn't make your system crash. I thought there was something seriously wrong with my system but it turns out just to be a stupid wifi adapter... really rubbed me the wrong way.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe - Wireless N300 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface

Pros: Got it on sale for $19. Great value for what I needed. Very easy installation. The product came with a driver cd that I had no issues with. Out of the box and setup took 10 minutes.

Cons: None that I noticed.

Other Thoughts: If you need a wireless card because you didn't want to run wires, this is a great buy.

4 out of 5 eggsJust needed a decent wifi card....

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe - Wireless N300 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface

Pros: The card was easy to install and worked right off the bat with windows 8. It functions fine and picks up a good signal from my modem halfway through the house.

Cons: When my computer goes into rest mode and upon awakening, the wifi card will sometimes lose internet connectivity until I disable and enable it. It doesn't happen often, luckily, and its a minor annoyance.

2 out of 5 eggsQuite Frustrating

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe - Wireless N300 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface

Pros: Worked fine 50% of the time

Cons: Technically connected to the Internet, but had painfully slow load times the other half of the time.

Other Thoughts: This was a very frustrating product. It almost would have been better if the adapter hadn't worked at all, because it gave me false hope. Honestly, the internet adapter in my 4th generation iPod was better than this.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid but no 5 GHz support

This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe - Wireless N300 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface

Pros: - Decent connectivity
- Easy to install

Cons: - No 5 GHz support (only 2.4 GHz)

Other Thoughts: Really it's a get what you pay for market for network cards, and this one is on the cheaper side. Nothing special but no real concerns.
