Pros: It functioned exactly as advertised. I plugged it into the cable modem/router for my home network and it was up and running. I can forget about it and let it do its job.

Cons: No really any.

Other Thoughts: This is how things should work.

Pros: Rack mountable, no power transformer, all the ports work

Cons: No differentiation between link speeds

Other Thoughts: I swapped out a couple of my daisy chained 8 port 10/100 switches for this Rosewill device and it did exactly what I wanted it to do. I now have a gigabit network in my house. I couldn't tell based on the lights on the switch itself, but I verified it using Network Properties in Windows. File transfers are nice and quick!

Pros: cheap, 16 ports, silent

Cons: doesn't indicate connection speed!

The specs indicates that it does. They are a lie. It only indicates that a link is established. And the entire bank of lights tends to flash at once (as opposed to each individual light indicate independent activity).

Other Thoughts: I do not like being lied to. It was important to me to know what connection each link is operating at, and I bought this unit because it claims to support that. Not happy about that, but this seems to be discontinued, and I did buy it at half price, so I guess I'll live.

Pros: Works. Quiet. Stays cool. Had a couple of small switches and the wires were all tangled; replaced those with this 16 port baby, and cleaned up the clutter.

Cons: Doesn't indicate the speed of the connected port, just green or off.

Other Thoughts: Nothing flashy, but it's dirt cheap (when on sale) for a 16 port gigabit switch. Seems well built. Would buy again. I don't give 5 stars unless it sings and dances.

Pros: This is a nice switch in a full metal case that fits well in a professional rack. The power adapter is integrated in the housing, which means that the unit works with a standard IEC c13 cord.

Cons: LEDs difficult to read at an angle

Pros: Love this thing.. it's quiet and fast! Almost twice as fast as my old D-Link. I'm also quite happy that it has no fan. My old D-link's fan had gotten annoyingly loud.. It's so nice in here now :) So quiet!

Cons: It wasn't free?

Pros: heavy solid build and feel, plug and play, i am using a tp link router with dd-wrt works great i do online gaming + ps3 online + voip and still no issues and good speeds with internal network and internet and i picked it up at 60 bucks not bad at all.

Cons: none so far

Pros: Switches frames. Does what a switch is supposed to do. Great price.

Cons: None that I have found so far beyond the fact that the price keeps going down since I bought it. :-)
