Pros: I have this adapter with me for about a week, works well with my computer. The signal is pretty good even my computer is whole across the floor.

1 out of 5 eggsWorks? Yes. With a few walls? No.

This review is from: Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCE - Dual Band Wireless N900 Adapter - IEEE 802.11a / 11b / 11g / 11n, Up to 450 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 450 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 3 External Detachable Antenna

Pros: Tested this with my pc in the same room as my router. Works very well in that scenario.

Cons: First of all, 8.1 drivers took forever to release so I was sitting on this for about 8 months when I purchased it on 06/2014. That was my fault for not doing research, so no eggs taken off for that.

Router is in the living room, my pc I put in a separate room upstairs. Noticed lag spikes, decided to do some testing. I have an old rosewill USB router that I compared it to (I got it for $7 2 years ago). Ran downloads, streaming, gaming, etc using one each and compared results.
1. This thing averaged 11 ping spikes to 500+ in a day compared to <1 in a day. Compared to a bargain bin usb adapter, thats disgraceful. -2 eggs
2. Streamed with an average of 1 pause per hour compared to to <1 per 5 hours, but managed to download large video files faster. Compared to a bargain bin usb adapter, thats still disgraceful. -2 eggs
3. Tried downloading large video files from the same source. This card did better. But considering it was competing against an adapter that connected via USB, that doesn't give it any bragging rights.

Other Thoughts: TLDR. Works very well if you're relatively close. Put 3 walls between you and the router and this thing literally performs worse than a bargain bin USB wifi adapter. I honestly could have received a dud, but due to driver support I never got to test this conclusively until warranty expired.

2 out of 5 eggsYou might want to get something else...

This review is from: Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCE - Dual Band Wireless N900 Adapter - IEEE 802.11a / 11b / 11g / 11n, Up to 450 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 450 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 3 External Detachable Antenna

Pros: Easy installation

Cons: Poor - Average signal strength
Didn't last long

Other Thoughts: I think I got about 6 months out of this card...
I mean, it started off fine. I had to uninstall and reinstall the driver a few times at first but that wasn't a big deal. Sometimes I'd get a little lag while online gaming, but it generally wasn't bad. Then a few months ago it started to randomly disconnect from my internet, occasionally at first, but its slowly ramped up to the point that it was disconnecting every few minutes. Now it won't connect at all. I dunno, maybe I just got a bad card. Just letting you know my experience.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great so far.

This review is from: Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCE - Dual Band Wireless N900 Adapter - IEEE 802.11a / 11b / 11g / 11n, Up to 450 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 450 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 3 External Detachable Antenna

Pros: So I was a little worried about some of the reviews saying that the drivers blue-screen windows. Noting that, I took caution to not install the drivers that came in the box.

It worked fine out of the box with Windows 8.1's auto installed drivers. I then went onto Rosewill's site and installed their drivers, and they also work fine. NO blue screens. The CD inside says to go online to get Windows 8.1 drivers. I suspect people are not heeding this warning.

I got this card because I will be moving to an area that I can only get wifi. I will still have yet to see how the performance of this card is and will update. Four stars now as a placeholder till then.

Cons: Does not have the MAC address listed anywhere. This is important to me since I filter my router to only use my personal devices. I had to disable MAC filtering on my router, connect the Rosewill device, then figure out what MAC address it is using. There's a way to find it in Windows, but I forgot.

Other Thoughts: This router was definitely the right price for performance, and I have generally had good luck with Rosewill products in the past.

1 out of 5 eggsBlue Screens of Death after 2 months.

This review is from: Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCE - Dual Band Wireless N900 Adapter - IEEE 802.11a / 11b / 11g / 11n, Up to 450 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 450 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 3 External Detachable Antenna

Pros: Worked well initially, better reception than my usb nubby adapter.

Cons: Failed after about 2 months. Gave me blue screens (Windows 7). Tried everything tech support recommended, still blue screens of death. To their credit they offered RMA but had to include original packaging... who keeps that after a few days?? Back to my little usb adapter and out 50 bucks. Do not buy this.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

This review is from: Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCE - Dual Band Wireless N900 Adapter - IEEE 802.11a / 11b / 11g / 11n, Up to 450 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 450 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 3 External Detachable Antenna

Pros: Easy to set-up, good user interface. Easy to select which band (2.4 ghz or 5.0 ghz) you want to use for device you installed it on. Great price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Exact same hardware as the comparable TD-Link (study the pictures), made in the same Chinese factory but with lower price and coupon is 22% less cost.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Wireless card

This review is from: Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCE - Dual Band Wireless N900 Adapter - IEEE 802.11a / 11b / 11g / 11n, Up to 450 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 450 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 3 External Detachable Antenna

Pros: Bendable antennas

Cons: My ISP isn't very good so I can't maximize this card's potential.

Other Thoughts: Seems to be working nice. I dont really know what to expect out of a wireless card. A nice feature is that the antennas can easilly be bent so that they do not stick out.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problem with GNU/Linux

This review is from: Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCE - Dual Band Wireless N900 Adapter - IEEE 802.11a / 11b / 11g / 11n, Up to 450 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 450 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Data Rates, PCI E Interface, 3 External Detachable Antenna

Pros: I'm using this on my linux machine (CentOS 7) and I have not had any problems. I didn't have to do anything special to because my OS recognized it right away.

Cons: no for now
