Rosewill RNWD-N1502UBE IEEE 802.11b/g/n, USB2.0 Wireless-N Mini External Antenna Adapter (1T1R) Up to 150Mbps Data Rates, WEP 64/128, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Work in Windows 7/8. Works without drivers in Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10, and works in Linux Mint. I don't know why people are complaining about this adapter. This adapter has worked well without any problems and has not broken when I move from system to system.

Other Thoughts: Rosewill has impressed me with this wireless adapter. I thought that this product would be terrible.

Cons: Never worked. Tried it in 3 machines with Windows and Linux. It couldn't detect any networks when it was partially working, then after a couple of swap-arounds it completely DIED. "USB Device Not Recognized," Windows said.

Other Thoughts: You're much better off with the $10 Edimax nano adapter also on this site. I've used 5 of them between my friend and me and those things are solid. Pass on this junk right here... I'm also very disappointed because I have had great experiences with other Rosewill products such as power supplies and CPU coolers.

Pros: Simple install using the provided drivers.
Connection speed was excellent.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I used this on two different XP machines, no problems installing using only the provided drivers and not installing the software that came with it.

This was a replacement for a defective Rosewill adapter and I have to say Roswill support was outstanding with fast shipping. Could not ask for better support.

Pros: Worked decently for a bit of time.

Cons: Fragile, poor build quality. After taking it out of one computer where it worked for over a month it stopped detecting signal.

Other Thoughts: Over the years I've used more than a dozen different wireless adapters and this is one of the worst ones along with netgear and trendnet.

Pros: Works great with Linux OS, I have installed on both Ubuntu 11 and Xubuntu 12.04, works perfectly without extra drivers. Plug it in and Linux detects immediately.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I bought this because it supposedly worked with Linux OS, well after plugging it in, it worked perfectly! The antenna is small but has great reception. I have it in the corner of my furthest out house and it still gets two bars from my Loco M2 while as my Cell nor laptop in that same corner won't even connect let alone get two bars.

Pros: Works as designed, Good Range, Included software is easy to use.

Cons: Could see it falling apart in the future, going to handle it gently to prevent breaking it.

Other Thoughts: For the price, it works great. The software on the disc is useful to monitor connections. You NEED the drivers off the disc to use it, windows does not recognize it otherwise(you could get them online but, if your buying this, you might not have the option). I have a SFF build with no Optical drive so I transfered them via USB, worked like a charm.

Pros: Works as it should.

Cons: The first one I received worked for about 3 hrs then started to go off and on, and finally just stopped working, the thing felt flimsy. This second one seemed better made, not as flimsy as the first. 2 wks now with the second one without any problems so far.

Other Thoughts: 8 bucks you can't beat it, I went through rosewill for the RMA on the first one ( because I lost the packaging required to send back to newegg ). Rosewill didn't give me a problem, told me to throw the old one out and gave me credit on newegg to get the second. Got the credit within 1 day and ordered the second. Thumbs up to Rosewill.

Pros: Cheap, plus external antenna connector opens up options for use in long distance wifi networking

Cons: I bought 4 of these, one was DOA, a friend of mine bought one off of me and it worked for all of 2 minutes, we've tried it in several computers and it still doesn't work (same as the first one I tried). Over all I think its a defect in the product line. I wouldn't get one of these again unless they gave me a return envelope free of charge. Will most likely contact newegg again and see about getting ANOTHER replacement.

Also it is kinda bad that win 7 requires drivers for this, I'm sure theres a way to get some functionality to connect to a network and download updated drivers.

Other Thoughts: I know there are other products out there, maybe its time to step the notch up a little bit and find a different manufacturer =/

Pros: It worked just like it was advertised to do!! Not exactly plug & play for Windows OS, but pretty close!!

For my Linux "Security" distros, IT WAS just plug & play, & it works better than I could've imagined!!

As long as you follow the simple directions that are included.

Pop the CD in, install the drivers, plug her in & you're on your way!! It litterally only took 3 minutes!!

I actually bought this as a supplement wireless adapter for my laptop. I'm obtaining my Security+ Cert, so I am using some pretty powerful "Offensive Penetration Testing" programs & operating systems to test my wireless networks.

This little adapter ended up being almost 2x more powerful than the internal adapter in my laptop, so it has taken over the task of testing my access points for vulnerabilities!!

Oh, & it works great for what it's supposed to be used for as well ;)

This is one bad little unit!!

I'm always pleased with Rosewill's quality!! Then they throw these crazy prices at you, I got this with a Newegg discount for $8!!

I would totally pay the original $20 price now that I know it's worth it!!

Other Thoughts: I have successfully used this adapter with my high end custom built Windows 7 desktop, as well as my laptop.

I'm specifically using Linux BT5R3 & Kali Linux, which was just released a week before I posted this!! Works like a CHAMP!!
