Editor’s Comment:

Overall the T600N from Rosewill is a very decent product from this company that is starting to get into the network business. This is currently their flagship product and at $60 it's hard not to notice. Most consumers are looking for a router that gets the job done - regardless of features. The Rosewill T600N not only gets the job done, it gets it done rather quickly. I've had no issues with stability and performance with this router throughout the weeks we've had it around the office.

Step up to a faster and more responsive network with Rosewill T600N Gigabit wireless Dual Band Concurrent Router. This router delivers up to 300Mpbs in 2.4GHz and 300Mbps in 5GHz bandwidth for demanding online gaming, HD multimedia streaming, and many more home entertainment applications. The simultaneous dual band maximizes the home entertainment experience by ensuring less interference and lag times.

The Gigabit ports enable blistering wired Internet connectivity for your bandwidth-sensitive devices such as Smart TVs, Xbox 360, Network media player, etc. Take advantage of the high gain antennas to extend the wireless coverage for reduced weak or dead spots. Enjoy lag-free transfer of voice, gaming, video, and other time-sensitive applications with the Quality of Service (QoS). The T600 also supports WPA/WPA2 security to protect your wireless network from intrusion.

3 out of 5 eggsCan Not Remote Desktop

Pros: Good price, nice looking, works fine for the most part

Cons: For some reason, I can not remote desktop any of my computers when connected to this router. I have tried all kinds of firewall configurations both on the router, and the firewall configurations in Windows 7, and Windows 8.1. I've even disabled the firewall both in the router and Windows 7/8.1

Other Thoughts: I have contacted Rosewill Tech Support, and was told it's not the router's problem, but a fault of the remote desktop application. What's funny is I have no problem remoting with my D-LINK DIR-615 or My Visio AC router.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast speeds both wired and wireless. Router is definitely good for multitasking and multi streaming. I typically run an MMORPG plus pandora steam origin and battlenet amongst other programs and have no lag issues. There is usually another computer or laptop connected at the same time.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I dont know if this is router related or if it was modem related. On first setup i had an issue with getting internet. Turns out the router couldnt receive the DNS from my comcast modem. All i had to do was some research and found the solution. I had to manually enter the DNS after that no problems

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: Good signal strength for G/N wan, and the gigabit lan works well on large file transfers without dropouts.

Cons: Like others, it has troubles getting an IP assigned from my DOCSIS 3 Cisco modem from comcast. All fields populate with correct data but all computers connected report 'no internet connection' despite multiple resets/release and renews as well as dns flush.

Despite getting an assigned IP or static IP based on the dynamic assignment, no computer will connect, left it over night, worked in the a.m. and for days, then had to adjust some settings on it's config panel again and as feared it went back to the same bad behavior.

Other Thoughts: Going to most likely return it for credit and invest in a more reliable model.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Router

Pros: Excellent connection speeds and good range. I'm getting slightly better signal strength than the Cisco E3000 this replaced when the E3000 died on me. So far I have not seen any reliability or connection issues. When on sale, this is a great value for a dual-band gigabit router!

Cons: Admin panel is a little more complicated than most home routers but nothing someone with average tech skill can't handle.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great router for an average home.

3 out of 5 eggsDied On me

Pros: Cheap and easy to setup. Dual band is nice. Never had connectivity issues.

Cons: It died on me today after 1 year and 1 month of ownership. The WAN port stopped communicating with the other ports.

Other Thoughts: Luckily this thing paid for itself. My ISP charges $8 a month to rent a router from them. This thing only cost like $50. It paid for itself twice. however, I will spend the extra $$$$ next time to get a little more reliable hardware.

2 out of 5 eggswon't resync with modem reliably

Pros: If you get it synced and working, it works fine. I didn't notice substantially better performance than with my old router, though. The range wasn't great, either. In the farthest parts of my home, wifi strength was minimal.

Cons: When there's a hiccup in the internet service, getting it to re-sync with the modem and getting back online was a pain every single time. I would have to connect my laptop and tinker until it started working. The wizard didn't work right either. It would frequently not find services on the WAN port when the modem was up and working fine.

Other Thoughts: I finally dumped this one in favor of a new Netgear router. I hope I have better luck with it.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat when it works.

Pros: Easy setup, great coverage, lots of good options in the firmware

Cons: Drops signal frequently. Ongoing degradation of performance at a steady pace from month 3-11. Pretty much complete hardware failure after 1 year.

Other Thoughts: It worked great when it worked. I took a chance ordering this after seeing the reviews but it was a gamble I lost on. I'll be going with a more trusted brand next time. My Linksys is currently serving in the Rosewill's stead and that thing is going on 8 years old.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Very Happy

Pros: When it works, it works great. The wireless signal is stronger than my old wireless N router, plus I seem to have better overall throughput.

Cons: The wireless signal would drop frequently. I would get disconnected about once every ten minutes, give or take. Switching the wireless channel seemed to help, but a few days later, the modem stopped working on one or two of the hard-wired ports.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat value for a gigabit router!

Pros: It's a gigabit router with large antennas for great coverage. It's extremely simple to setup and the instructions were clear.

Cons: It did not support my old Belkin wireless adapter for my desktop. I went ahead and bought a Rosewill wireless N adapter which cost more money.

Other Thoughts: In the end, I'm fairly satisfied with the router. I've read the other comments stating that it's not a good router. For me, I think it's a great router and it's inexpensive compared to the other dual band gigabit routers. I bought this router for $55 on Labor Day sale.
