2 out of 5 eggsWorked well, then DIED

Pros: Easy to install. Had good range.

Cons: Bought several Rosewill products, really like the quality until the last two purchases...both failed prematurely.

Other Thoughts: exterior led lighting and wired ethernet adapter both failed. Not up to quality of other Rosewill products that I own.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install

Cons: Very slow. Does not perform anywhere near the 200Mbps that it is rated for. The D-Link DHP-308AV I had was about 4 times faster.

Also slow for the 2 units to sync up -- took a few minutes, whereas D-Link and SMC units I had in the past connected to each other within 10-15 seconds.

The Utility CD that came in the kit was defective and unreadable by my optical drive.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat for the price

Pros: using these throughout the house for remote camera dvr, no lag, doesn't get too hot. Actually gets faster transfer speeds than I thought it would. easy to set up (I have them working with zyxel brand also)

Cons: not 500 or 1000 but I only needed this for camera dvr so no big deal

Other Thoughts: these are great if you have a huge house (or an old house) where wifi can't reach everywhere. I also recommend theses instead of running wires everywhere, just be warned that people might be able to sniff out your traffic...depends on your state.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: None

Cons: Slow speed between two units (1-3Mb/s), also slow down the entire wired home network

Other Thoughts: I bought a RPLC-201KIT Powerline network adapter kit from Newegg, unfortunately, it does not work. The connection speed is very low (1-3 Mb/s), and it also slows down the entire wired home network. The funny thing is, "Power Packet Utility" reported the adapter that is directly connected to router was the slower one, the connection between two adapters were not too bad. Both units have been reset multiple times, swapped the two adapters' locations, also tried different power outlets, different rooms, both 1st and 2nd floor, in the same room, no improvement at all.
I requested a RMA with New Egg, to my surprise, they want to charge me 15% restock fee and pay the return shipping cost for something that clearly did not work. This is not the way to do business!

5 out of 5 eggsHow Cool!

Pros: turns your house into a big switch, i think these things are great i ordered two sets thinking that you need to match pairs, nope, plug one end into your modem, router or another switch and every other endpoint you plug in flows through the one connected to your network device. Super awesome if you live in a rental, or just don't want to bother with wiring your house.

Cons: not as fast as wiring your house with cat5 or 6 :-p, also the're not always 14 dollars a set.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work well at all.

Pros: Works well when power outlets are on the same circuit breaker.

Cons: Does not work when outlets are on a different circuit breaker.

Other Thoughts: Wanted to add an AP on the first floor, and did not want to take out dry wall or drill holes to run RJ45. Tried powerline adapters a long time ago on a single story home, and didn't work well then. Has been 5 years since, thought the new ones have improved, but after trying this on multilevel home powerline adapters still does not work well. If on the same circuit breaker it works, but if on different breaker don't even bother. Ended up having to change router to repeater mode to extend wireless coverage.

5 out of 5 eggsupgraded from 85Meg units

Pros: Netgear 85Meg devices were only passing 6Mb/s in my house. Sufficient but less than desireable. I changed out for these Rosewill units and bandwidth increased to 27Mb/s.
I was utilizing iperf so those numbers are real tcp throughput. Fairly impressive.

Cons: None so far.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Product

Pros: Got it for half price
Easy to install

Cons: 4x slower than my Wifi
Useless

Other Thoughts: I just moved into a brand new house with brand new electrical wiring. I saw this Powerline on sale and decided to try it out before doing any ethernet wiring because I have a server, HTPC, etc. After installing it, I immediately tested the speed. The speeds through the powerline were 4 times slower than my Wifi. I was getting ~500 KBsec through it. I tried different outlets with the same results.

Do not buy this.
