5 out of 5 eggsGood BAng for the buck!

Pros: dual nic
Cheap price

Cons: Realtek Ethernet Diagnostic Utility needed for nic teaming. was not easy to figure out

needs CAT6!! CAT5E will not give 1gbps on both nics at same time. CAT6 Worked fine

Other Thoughts: Dropped in an older asus P6T and to my supprise was the same Realtek chipset and was able to team 3 nic's and running fast!

Pros: Small. From factor. Great price if it worked.

Cons: Failed after one week.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this for my server. Installed and worked fine for about a week, then both ports failed.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked for a while then lost one port

Pros: Comes with bracket change capability Half height to full height. Easy to install and readily recognized by Smoothwall.

Cons: One of two ports failed after 8 months on the job. You expect a LAN card to work and work and then work some more. 8 Month failure rate is just a pain. I know I won't get my money back, and I didn't keep the warranty paperwork. Of course it happened on Christmas eve... Can't get a new one for several days to a week. With a house full of guests this really sucks!!!!

Other Thoughts: I'll probably spring for an Intel card. No more cheap cards by cut-rate manufacturers.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: came with a low profile bracket

Cons: it was shipped loose in a small box and was shaking around during delivery. I don't know if this was the cause but it arrived not working

Other Thoughts: i got it and plugged it into my pci slot and my bios would not start (no beeps no load screen) with the card plugged in. i tried using other ports and cleaning the contacts and it still doesn't work. i even had a friend who is an IT try to install it with no success. looks like im stuck on wireless for another week or two

1 out of 5 eggsCard DOA

Pros: None.

Cons: Product arrived DOA. I've been lazy about sending it back, but am working on that right now. Hopefully I get a replacement shipped out.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with Linux

Pros: Very inexpensive for a dual nic.
Ubuntu server identified it immediately and I could assign each port an ip address.
Just works (I am using it in a home server)

Cons: None yet, we will see how long it lasts in my home server.

Other Thoughts: I got it on sale and couldn't say no to the price.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Card EVER

Pros: Good shipping from Newegg

Cons: Came COMPLETELY DOA and caused my other ethernet adapter to stop working.

Other Thoughts: This card came DOA, and to make it worst caused the other adapter to stop working all together. From my experience Rosewell is a horrible company and I'm never getting another card there ever again. Instead search for the SYBA one. Basically same price and they have a much lower failure rate.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks OK for some things

Pros: Provides 2 ports in a x1 pci-e slot. Speed isn't bad. Same card as the SYBA SY-PEX24028.

Cons: Has a problem with PFSense: when a port is connected to the Internet, it stops working after a few minutes. This problem happened with two different ISPs and internet modems. It may have something to do with the port being placed in 'promiscuous mode', but not sure.

Other Thoughts: The SYBA SD-PEX24033 card does not have this problem.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive and solid

Pros: Dual port, low cost, PCI-E

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Finally, a low cost dual port NIC. The Syba model similar to this appears to be exactly the same card, so pick whichever is the cheapest the day you are shopping.
