4 out of 5 eggsthis product is getting old...

Pros: good range and high speeds

Cons: price to high, getting old, drivers bad

Other Thoughts: the drivers that come with this card do not seem to work on a 64bit computer. the default drives that come with windows7 have been working this device. i wanted to get new drivers for the wirless card but engenius does not have the best site. i looked at other places and forums and people keep on asking when there will be new drivers.
this card is getting to be old. if the drivers would be updated then i would love to keep this card.
might be switching to a different card.

fyi, this is a pci card. NOT a pci-e card or mini. keep that in mind when makeing a computer!

5 out of 5 eggsgood choice

Pros: decent price. Worked right away on Windows 7 64 bit. Powerful. No loss in signal.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: don't have allot of experience with wireless cards, so luckily this turned out really well and it meets all my expectations.

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: works excellent on windows xp and windows 7 x64

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: engenius client utility software does not work on windows 7, but its not needed. windows handles this card with the appropriate driver just fine

1 out of 5 eggsNNNgenius

Pros: none

Cons: This was a waste of time.
It simply would not install with Win XP Pro SP3. I followed the advice of other Newegg users without success. I emailed Engenius tech support - no reply after 6 days. I called and spoke with their tech support guy who suggested I try different slots and "keep trying it because it worked for me" but had no actual advice other than to return it which I promptly did.

3 out of 5 eggsThe support is very upsetting

Pros: Great card connect fine can be finicky without the lastest drivers :/

Cons: Getting the latest drivers from the official site is nearly impossible..you get stuck with site like drivergenius, or driverdoctor :/ which both just mess up your pc worse.. EnGenius please fix the google search criteria.. send a ticket to google to redirect to your site instead of those 3rd party uploaders for tags like EnGenius, drivers, software, update, card, driver .. just saying

4 out of 5 eggs*should* work great for you

Pros: Works pretty much out of the box with most Linux versions :)
My source is from my friend's house which is TWO houses down... maybe 200 feet... and this card stays connected and works good where my laptop or any other card wont connect as reliably. I'm getting mediocre (ha) speeds at 5-6 Mbps but i think its the generic linksys G that im connected to. The included antenna seems to work just fine for me, sitting close to the outside of my house. This is in an old Dell g260-somethin... note the cons tho-

Cons: My problems were mostly using XP home 32..
Software leaves a little to be desired. (DON'T USE THE DISK- DOWNLOAD NEW).
Wasn't playing very nicely in 2 different intel P43 (ICH10R I think) motherboards... but I caant entirely blame this card for that, as I've sent both of these boards back for failure of USB devises. One was AsRock P43de3 or whatever and the other was Intel DP43BF... both purchased HERE.
The card blue screened on install on the Asrock. changed slots, downloaded newer driver, it worked, but inconsistantly.
On the Intel board it locked the PC up on the 1st slot I tried, and worked on the next slot, but still it was inconsistant- by that I mean sometimes I could connect, sometimes not and speeds would be up and down... even in Linux.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if this card is to blame but I'm not very fond of the Intel P43 chipset or the ICH10 southbridge, im not surre which to blame. Both of my motherboards with these same chipsets failed on me, from Newegg, one after the other. I was having severe USB issues on both boards.
This card might not work good on these chipsets.

3 out of 5 eggsOutdated

Pros: Provides WIFI access.

Cons: Did NOT work as easily as expected. A warning to all Vista users, maintain your current internet connection through the installation process. The drivers provided are not up to date.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: When I bought this card, I had not set up my desktop yet so it kind of sat in the box. Setup took some time but once it ran it did well. I mostly play WoW on it and while I shouldn't be using a PCI Card for that, being wired isn't a choice. Internet and browsing/download is fine, WoW it wasn't.

Cons: Once I installed it, it took forever to find the "right" drivers like many have said due to me running Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate. I still don't have the right drivers and have to use Atheros's drivers which are alright but substandard. WoW was giving me lag spikes every 10-45 seconds for about 3 seconds, which is my main gripe.

Other Thoughts: Overall the card is fine, it connected with Windows 7 64 bit after a bit of fenagling but the main reason I got it was for WoW and the card did not mesh well with my Linksys E1000 Wireless N Router...so for browsing and downloading it got 3 eggs, for the lack of windows 7 support fully and lag in WoW, - 2 eggs.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't use if you are running XP

Pros: Price was great.

Cons: Included software leaves a lot to be desired. It was of no help in getting installation issues resolved

Other Thoughts: I tried to install these cards on 2 XP-sp3 computers - One "blues-creened" about half way through the driver install (tried it 3 times), the other just could not connect. I noticed the supplied drivers are dated 2007 & was not able to find any updated drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsLong Range

Pros: Inexpensive wifi card that windows 7 ultimate 64 bit noticed without a hitch. (usually the case with these wifi cards)

Cons: Utility wise, there is no support for windows 7 yet... The engenos utility will not install in windows 7 but the default atheros drivers included in windows 7 work fine.

Other Thoughts: Maybe once the utility is updated and im able to install the correct driver i can get that "long range" this card is boasting.
