Pros: easy setup

Cons: working for about 5 month, now it no longer working properly. keep disconnecting. and have to reset every few days

Pros: These things setup quick and work beautifully. I installed three of these in a local Bed & Breakfast and I've only had one fail me and that was my fault. I set it up in a window and it overheated. EnGenius RMA'd it no problem. Took about two weeks to get the replacement.

Cons: Yes, these will cut down your bandwidth by half. That is the nature of wireless networking. The half is only for each consecutive connection. i.e. the first repeater cuts half for each connection to it. if you apply a second repeater off the first repeater it will cut half of that bandwidth or a quarter of the initial connection to its clients. This is the nature of wireless distributed networking. The only way to combat this is with a MIMO (multi in multi out) router. MIMO will help maintain consistent connections better than most non-MIMO routers.

Other Thoughts: All that said, if you have a full N wireless network with all 300Mb/s hardware, you really shouldn't have any issues with the bandwidth cut from a single repeater.

Pros: Seems easy to operate, but don't be fooled

Cons: Tried both the WPS one button configuration many many times, which failed with 15 minutes in every case. Tried to manually configure and could not access the settings page until i found a message board on the support portion of their website which suggested i press the reset button. Wow, this worked and i was able to configure the range extender. Hooray!!! I felt very proud of myself. However, within 5 minutes the connection was lost. At this point, this thing is going on an auction site and i'm losing money and lost back valuable time in my life

Pros: -Easy to setup
-Cheap

Cons: Pretty much what everyone has a problem with. It severly cuts down the bandwidth to more than half and doesn't really extend the range any more further. Also been having a lot of lag spikes using this product. I did place it in a area where it gets good connection from the main router but still is pretty bad in actually extending the range.

Other Thoughts: Honestly this thing is junk. I might as well just get a N+ router because this is worthless. Now it will just turn into paper weight.

Pros: Definitely helped extend my home wifi signal. Router is in the back of the house, so the front gets a sketchy signal.

I placed in a pantry on a shelf after setup, which is about half way between the back and front of the house.
Pretty much full signal all around now.

Cons: The "one button" setup didn't really do it for me. So I had to do it manually. Some people with limited computer knowledge might not like that fact.

Other Thoughts: I didn't mind the manual setup. It was actually better for me it turns out. I was able to change the ID and password to something else instead of just using the default ones.

Pros: 2 antennas, it gives me a portable Ethernet port for my computer

Cons: I think it slows down my internet. It doesn't increase the range much for wireless devices.

Pros: It does work. Setup is easy with WBS, Manual setup almost never works. 4 bars everywhere in a 4000 sqft home.

Cons: The bad news, it eats almost 50% of you wireless bandwith. It also reduces your bandwidth for wired devises. Interferes with Skype, Magic Jack and other VOIP phones. They will cut in and out like you were on dial-up

Pros: I ordered this wifi range extender after disappointing results with a well-known brand off the shelf at a local retailer for twice what I paid for the EnGenius. With only one call to tech support, I got it installed and it is working beautifully. Support was fantastic and so is the product.

Cons: Instructions did not allow for the varieties of security options there are on the market, but tech support clarified what to do and it installed with no further problems.

Other Thoughts: Great product for a great price with great support.
Who could ask for more ?

Pros: Well, it appears to set up fairly easily when it feels like connecting, but that's really just a trick.

Cons: Doesn't actually connect at all. Reconfiguring, in order to troubleshoot, is a major pain - it just doesn't want to be reconfigured. I have to mess with resetting, unplugging, restarting my PC, pretty much everything I can thing of to reset a device, just to try another config setting. What a pain in the rear this thing is to work with. I will never purchase another enGenius product again. AHHGGG!!!

Other Thoughts: This thing never really worked for its intended purpose, so I started using a second wireless router as an access point. That has been working, so I just set the enGenius aside to fiddle with it later. Well, later arrived when I upgraded my phones to Android smart phones and needed to extend the wireless range to the rest of my house, and now I really realize how worthless this thing is. Whenever I connect the enGenius to my network, it prevents all my wi-fi devices from connecting. As soon as I unplug the enGenius power - poof! - everything connects instantly. This happens no matter how I configure the enGenius; I have tried every possible configuration, to no avail. I give up, and now it's too late to return the thing.
