The EnGenius ENH700EXT long-range, dual-band AP combines top class wireless performance and management capability required for modern businesses. Its high-powered 2.4GHz/5GHz radio delivers up to 300Mbps data rate on each band with minimized interference while up to 500mW high transmit (TX) power enables longer range signal coverage. It greatly expands existing company networks and supports much more user/device capacity than legacy single-band outdoor networking solutions ideal for companies that are provisioning more mobile Wi-Fi devices within the boundaries of their network like iPads and other tablet devices. Each radio can be independently set into different modes to meet various needs or requirements. Exceptional Performance ENH700EXT is an EnGenius X-treme SMB Long-Range, Dual Radio (2.4 and 5GHz) 802.11n Wireless Outdoor Access Point / Client Bridge. With up to 300Mbps wireless data rate on each radio, it provides a much more versatile and expansive solution for outdoor Wi-Fi connectivity for laptop computers, tablet PCs and smartphones or for connecting other buildings to an established company network. Up to 500mW transmit power expands the overall coverage area of the network enabling users to roam and work farther from their offices as necessary or required.

Various Modes The ENH700EXT can be configured in a number of different modes giving VARs, system integrators, IT managers, and installers the ability to configure the device for discrete functionality based on their unique network topology or scalable needs. With two onboard radios, each can be configured into different operation modes independently, thus the ENH700EXT adds an additional layer of flexibility that single-band Access Points do not offer. This includes the ability to establish a backbone (backhaul) network using the 5GHz radio between separate buildings in a campus environment while still providing Wi-Fi connectivity to an established Internet account or to a company’s networked resources (databases, storage, printers) for employees, guests or students using their laptops, tablets or smartphones in outdoor venues on the 2.4GHz band.

AP Mode In Access Point mode, the ENH700EXT expands the overall bandwidth of an outdoor Wi-Fi solution and users who wish to stream video or transfer large files now have the option to associate to any one of the AP’s up to eight configurable 5GHz SSIDs (Service Set Identifiers) – particularly useful in areas where there may be a preponderance of competing and overlapping 2.4GHz signals from Access Points and devices not affiliated with the company’s network.

Powerful Management EnGenius' EZ Controller Access Point Management Software is included with the ENH700EXT so even units that have already been deployed on rooftops or other difficult-to-access locations and other EnGenius APs or Client Bridges in the network can be reconfigured to a different operational mode or upgraded remotely without having to manually reconnect to them or re-install them on site. EZ Controller gives a VAR, system integrator or network administrator the tools to remotely monitor network traffic by Access Point or Bridge, optimize network performance and address any unanticipated downtime from the comfort of their office and thus diminish or in most cases eliminate the need to physically maintain or reconfigure devices at their specific locations.

Top Level Security Like other EnGenius business-class networking products, the ENH700EXT provides state-of-the-art, enterprise-grade wireless network encryption and authentication standards including WPA, WPA2, TKIP/AES and IEEE 802.1x RADIUS Authentication. Network administrators can also configure an additional layer of security by mapping each of the ENH700EXT’s SSIDs to a company’s established VLANs. This added feature helps to ensure that only users in specific VLANs are accessing information they have been authorized to access even when they work outside the building or from another building on the corporate campus that has been bridged to a main office via one or more ENH700EXT units. These settings are available upon initial installation with the device’s browser-based Graphical User Interface and through EZ Controller.

Rock Solid Housing with IP68 Rating The ENH700EXT’s internal electronics have been mounted in an IP68-rated enclosure, one of the highest waterproof and dustproof ratings available, that is designed to withstand extremely harsh environmental conditions including severe and prolonged exposure to sunlight, extreme cold, frost, snow, rainfall, hail and humidity. The housing of the Access Point also has been manufactured to repel ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. These protective measures make the ENH700EXT an ideal outdoor Wi-Fi solution for virtually any locale or any venue including ski resorts, beach resorts, college and corporate campuses and businesses located in snowy, rainy or sunny and arid climates.
