5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: This item works, its cheap.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: What more could you ask for in a switch? Just plug everything in and it works. My router was running out of ports, so I just connected it to this switch. Then, connected everything to it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Swtich

Pros: Affordable, works great, good thoughput. No Cable worries, just plug and go. Has metal sockets for the RJ45 plugs, I hate the plastic ones. If you have a larger network, and want to intergrate into one switch, this is for you. Latency is very low also.

Cons: The leds could be a liitle brighter.

5 out of 5 eggsDelivers what is Promised

Pros: The switch is $1.675 / port, Low profile w/ glorious low-profile power adaptor (sticks off to side like some mobiles' ) my test indicated the expected TX-full duplex speeds promised between 2 ports. I have not tested under full load.

Cons: The switch didn't look like it did in the picture; it was black and les boxy. There is no collision or duplex indicator -- just link/activity.

Other Thoughts: The performance was exactly the same as the 8-port Linkskey switch newegg also sells (performance benchmark). I have onwned one of these for about a year. Switch technology seems mature - save your money and go with Linkskey or Encore.
