3 out of 5 eggsDecent for the price

Pros: -good price
-gets good range

Cons: -drivers were a pain to setup
-slow

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a good choice if you don't have good internet like me because spending more for a faster card would be completely pointless. The only reason i know this is a slow card is because sometimes i go to my friend's house with my computer and while he can get around 16 Mbps, i can only get 4, which i don't understand since the card says 150Mbps i would thing we should get about the same speed. but like i said, if you have bad internet to start with , it works fine. the only other thing that got me was to install the driver was a huge pain because windows kept installing it's default drivers, and even after installing the drivers from the disk, i had to manually select the driver for the card.

3 out of 5 eggsBroken Driver

Pros: Cheap, works fine once it is installed

Cons: The windows driver installer is broken - it says it completes, makes you restart, and actually did not install the driver. To fix this you need to go into the device manager, find the card, select install driver, then browse for the driver installer. I experienced this problem on both Win XP & 7.

Other Thoughts: Works effortlessly on Ubuntu.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Pros: Worked just fine on HTPC out of the box with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Speed was fine for watching streaming Hulu, MLB.com, Youtube. Never had any problem with drops or range, although my HTPC is about 6 feet from my router.

Cons: None but see below.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if this is a con, but I had it jerry rigged for a low profile slot. My son knocked it out and it stopped working. There was no visible damage. Low profile adapters are hard to find so I will go with a USB wifi adapter for my next purchase.

3 out of 5 eggsOk I guess

Pros: Cheap, did not give me any trouble.

Cons: Slow speeds.

Other Thoughts: At home, with wired ethernet I get download speeds of 85 Mbps. Of all the laptops and wireless cards I've tried, the best one so far gave me 50 Mbps.

This card gives me 25-30 Mbps download speeds. Acceptable but not stellar by any means.

I guess it is OK for the price and it is decent enough that I will not replace it, but I will not buy it again, would rather spend a bit more and get something better.

1 out of 5 eggsMeh price, Meh speeds

Pros: -Easy installation

-Good for simple web browsing or for something that just HAS to have an internet connection for some reason or another.

Cons: -It's slow. Horribly slow. My MacBook Air can stream at 10MB/s on my home network. This thing will be lucky to see 500 KB/s on a good day. Even from the same location, it's horribly slow.

3 out of 5 eggsHmm

Pros: Great signal strength and pretty good range.

Cons: Drops. Drops like crazy. Every couple of minutes I get a drop in speed to nothing, and then instantly back to full bandwidth within a couple of seconds. Just long enough to knock you off your favorite game server.

Other Thoughts: Great potential and great price. would be ideal for an office environment or something that doesnt require a steady stream... with that said... terrible for gaming.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Card Ever owned

Pros: Was cheap

Cons: The device falls into a much slower throughput mode for some reason. I have to reset the device driver and sometimes power cycle the entire machine in order to get the device to behave. 20mb down and 7up connection and this consistently will get only 2 or 3 down and maybe 1 up. All the other machines connected to my network (from cell phones, to laptops and tablets) all show consistent speeds, this is the slow one in the pack.

Done all the normal troubleshooting, reinstall drivers, download newer drivers from manufacturer, no dice. Poor quality control.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY if you value your time at all. If you like to gamble, get one. I purchased this before all the flaky reviews came out and regret it enough to write this review.
