1 out of 5 eggsjunk

Pros: None

Cons: This thing does not repeat a wifi signal. if I could I will give 0 eggs, and there is zero support from encore, this seems to be a common problem with this product, so I will avoid any products from this company.

Other Thoughts: Since it took me a while to test the product I cannot return it. Only use I was able to find was to use it via the ethernet ports to devices that have RJ-45 but no wifi card. Since this is not what I paid for the review rating remains.

2 out of 5 eggsStopped working 2 weeks out of warranty

Pros: This router worked pretty well for the first year with some issues.

Cons: All the sudden it just started dropping the signal (I had it setup as a repeater). It would cause my ps3 to lose connection to the internet randomly and cause my computer to connect to the AP instead of this unit. I am very disappointed that this device stopped working just out of warranty. I will defiantly stay away from ENCORE routers in the future.

Other Thoughts: Worked good well it did function properly. After it stopped repeating properly the router is just a paperweight. Not very well made. Feel pretty cheap.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Looks like a cheap solution with good specs

Cons: This piece of junk does connect but it does not repeat the wifi signal so is pretty much useless, you can however connect via the RJ45 connectors on this junk, but for $30?

Other Thoughts: By looking at other reviews this seem to be a common problem with this product. Encore support and documentation is almost non-existant, so I will avoid this company from now on

1 out of 5 eggsGIANT PIECE OF JUNK!!!

Pros: It was cheap.

Cons: JUNK!!! Wanted a simple, cheap, repeater while at the marina and this will connect but not pass any data, no matter which mode you have it in. DHCP is a joke, does not hand out DNS nor Gateway, so pretty much useless. When changing basic settings (such as time), sometimes will get "PSK invalid" error, even when on open network. Oh, and the included CAT5 only has 2 twisted pair and doesn't work either, which is usually not a big deal since I have CAT5 everywhere, but didn't have a spare while I was at the marina, so we had to going hunting for one, which was annoying. Contacted Tech Support about 2 weeks ago, no response. Sending this junk back.

2 out of 5 eggsNot a fan

Pros: It's Small, it can support up to five ethernet connections and a wireless signal.

Cons: Very difficult set up. I've had to set this up twice and have had a really hard time. Both times I've had to call tech support. I make a hard line connection and plug in the IP and just get error pages. The wizard is hard to run and just crashes. Their tech support is only availble during normal buisness hours with no weekend support.

4 out of 5 eggsNice and Cheap Repeater

Pros: Fairly painless setup, no problems running, cheap ($30 + $8 promo = $22 w/ free shipping)

Cons: Full version of the manual not included-you must use the CD provided. Although this isn't that bad, it's a little bit of a hassle (unfortunately, it's common nowadays).
Also, I can not figure how to set up a AP client / what mode to use. I would prefer to use a wired connection from the Repeater. It clearly says it on the box, but the manual gives four different modes, and I do not know which mode to use. I wish they labeled the modes more consistently. Just saying.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it does what it does. Raised my father's computer (the reason why we got it) to ~4 bars for Wi-Fi, compared to ~1 bar before. Seems to be a little buggy at times, oh well.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Product

Pros: Item as described, Works perfectly, it can be installed to the wall if you want to!

Cons: Nothing really, the adapter makes tenuous high pitch sound but I find this problem to many other adapters as well, no biggy

Other Thoughts: You should watch a youtube video how to set it up; I found it very helpful! Good luck to yall

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of sh*i*t equipment

Pros: Nothings so far

Cons: Does not do what it's intended to do. The signal drops frequently and at the end you will end up getting signal from your old router
