4 out of 5 eggsABSOLUTELY WORKS IN LINUX

Pros: Plug 'n play, WPS, small, NO FUSS. Works GREAT in Linux!

Cons: not as small as the thumbnail adapters. would need to remove it before taking your laptop in a bag and be careful scooting desktops close to the wall.

Other Thoughts: TO THE PEOPLE THAT SAID IT DOESN'T WORK IN LINUX OR IT'S TOO HARD TO GET WORKING: What are you people smoking? This is one of the few adapters that actually DOES work in Linux. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and whatever kernel ships with it. Plugged it in expecting to have to load or blacklist a module, but instead, it was instantly recognized and it connected in no time. Never had it drop a connection or get hot like the others have said here. Maybe it's because I'm using it in Linux. Have not tested it in Mac yet.

Pros: Small, quick installation, works.

Cons: Small, not even an inch.

Other Thoughts: Works well so far. Hopefully continues to work well in the long run.

1 out of 5 eggsGets really hot

Pros: Fast for short bursts of data, at least compared to the G connection I've been on for a while.

Cons: Slows down when it gets hot. Slows down a lot. And gets really hot. I can't get more than a few seconds of Skype conversation before it resets due to heat problems.

Other Thoughts: If this isn't normal for the adapter, then Keebox has some serious quality control issues.

1 out of 5 eggsExtremely weak signal reception

Pros: None.

Cons: Of all the Wireless adapters we own, this one gets the weakest signal strength. Worse of all, full signal strength is not guaranteed even if you are in the same room as the router broadcasting the signal. I have to assume the miniature size is to blame.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks but don't go too far.

Pros: Works great. Has it's own software that is not great or too bad. However, don't expect to use it far from your wireless source.

Cons: Drops signal all the time. I was just 8 meters (yards) away from the source and had problems (through walls). I tried a few other methods and did not have that problem.

3 out of 5 eggsUhm, Spiffy.

Pros: It works. Finally.
Good speed.
Tiny!

Cons: Can get quite warm. I keep it on a USB wire away from the hub for this reason.
Range, good, but not great. Get an adapter with an external antennae for better reception.
Linux support is very limited, unless you like programming stuff like this yourself.

Other Thoughts: Okay. Bought this thing because my laptop's wireless is shot. Couldn't get a good signal and the dang thing got HOT trying to connect. Found out that this was because the Wifi hub is so far away. Got a USB bridge to fix that problem. Now it works fine.
In the meantime, I also have a Linux machine that I was going to try this on. Linux will not recognize it natively. I'm sure there's a way to get around that, but I happen to have another Wifi dongle that will work with the computer, so it's not necessary.

5 out of 5 eggsReview from a Business' IT Guy

Pros: Love these little guys. I've had a couple of Netgear USB wireless adapters for a couple years and always seemed to have a problem with one of them. Anywhere from overheating to having to uninstall and re-install multiple times. To give them some credit, we do run a pretty harsh environment (Motorcycle Shop).
These Keeboxs on the other hand. Installed the drivers from the disc, plugged em in, and no more problems. I haven't touched them since putting them in 6 months ago, and most of our computers run 24/7.

Cons: Small size? If that can be a con, they are easy to lose.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Adapter

Pros: Everything

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For a couple bucks per computer (15) I have internet access in every room and every computer I own. Plugged in, ran software, and great internet and speed. I move around a lot in the house and need immediate internet access in every room (job thing), used to take the dongle from computer to computer, and Keebox worked great. But at such a low price I bought a Keebox dongle for every computer. Could not be more pleased! Thanks
