works great
- Pros: Truly plug and play. [In Windows XP] you plug it in, and windows immediately finds it and it uses the built in Windows drivers and bluetooth stack.
- Cons: Though it is very tiny, it sticks out just a little too much for me to be absolutely comfortable leaving it plugged into the laptop while in my laptop bag. Though, I do leave it plugged in from time to time, and there doesn't seem to be any issues.
- Other Thoughts: Just what I was looking for. Plug it in, and you're done.
Excellent Bluetooth Adapter
- Pros: -Super-small size, practically an internal device, and doesn't stick out on laptop.
-Long range, covers about half of my 3500 square foot home
-Very easy to set up.
- Cons: This is really nit-picky, but I seriously have nothing to complain about except the constantly flashing LED. It doesn't bother me, since these aren't in very visible locations (printer on top of a shelf, and the back of a desktop PC), but it is a bright and eye-catching light. So, if you're using this in a bedroom/dorm room, or a highly visible place, or if you're ADD and easily distracted by flashy lights, plan to cover it with electrical tape.
- Other Thoughts: Honestly, I couldn't ask for a better external Bluetooth adapter. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for one, and it's especially ideal for laptops due to the super-low-profile. You can pretty much leave it in all the time and never have a problem. I had one of these on my old laptop, before I upgraded, and half the time I didn't even know it was there.
