4 out of 5 eggsHow to get BTA-402 to work with Windows 8.1

Pros: Easy to use, after finding working drivers.

Cons: Difficult to find drivers.

Other Thoughts: It took a while to get this working, so I hope it helps others. The chipset is identical on the BTA-403 and works with Windows 8.1.

2 out of 5 eggsWell it worked...

Pros: -It installed on Windows 7 x64
-It detected my Sony PS3 BD remote
-It was nice, while it lasted
-Decent control options for the Price I purchased it at.

Cons: *sucks in air* "Ok, here it goes..."
-It failed to connect after a while
-Customer support is VERY lacking,m as to the point they will not answer the phone.
-When it fails, good luck.
-Very flimsy device, to the point that removing it without breaking it from a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port is a GREAT RISK.

Other Thoughts: If it weren't for the cons, and lacking customer support, I'd have returned it to Cirago over a year ago. So far, they aren't answering the phone or even returning messages.
If it weren't for NewEgg, this would've had a single egg for the breif time this device actually functioned.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Im using this with a wireless headphones, to watch movies, listen to music, etc.

Cons: choppy audio, Super duper high latency. You wont notice the latency when listening to music, but you will when watching videos. The bit rate is less than desirable to listen to anything above 330kb/s (the connection is 328kb/s). I don't know if the low bit rate is because of the device is connected to, or the adapter itself, but I'm gonna get to the bottom of it.

2 out of 5 eggsFile transfer does not work on a standard phone

Pros: It is small, and comes with drivers. Software is somewhat intuitive.

Cons: 1. Cirago detects our Samsung SGH-A687, but will not pair.
2. SGH-A687 detects Cirago, and seems to pair, but an error message appears. We cannot perform BT file transfer in either direction after pairing.
3. Cirago pairs with a Android phone, but BT file transfer is one-way.

The SGH-A687 has paired with every other BT device we've tried, including 5 phones and one car stereo. I'm not sure why Cirago cannot pair.

Even when the Cirago pairs with an Android, the pairing is not 100% functional.

Other Thoughts: This is the second BTA-6210 that I've purchased. I purchased the first in 2011, for the same phone and computer. That unit didn't work, so we threw it in the garbage. I purchased the 2nd unit in 2012, not realizing I purchased the exact same model. I plan to RMA the 2nd.

5 out of 5 eggshackintosh friendly

Pros: purchsased this to operate my trackpad on a hackintosh. worked flawlessly as others have noted, i am just confirming another instance.

@ ~30 ft and it worked ok, but on my setup the line of sight was blocked by a bar counter, so it seems to have excellent range

Cons: only one week but no complaints

Other Thoughts: system:
Lion 10.4 tonymac on OCZ 60gb SSD
gigabyte EP45-UD3R,
E8400,
4x 1G Corsair dominator
gigabyte nvidia 210 silent

4 out of 5 eggsRequired Toshiba Driver

Pros: Small, durable, good price.

Cons: The drivers from the Cirago.com did not work for Win7 64. I used the driver from the Toshiba site: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=2578022&rpn=PA3710U&modelFilter=Bluetooth+Module+PA3710U&selCategory=2756711&selFamily=675234

Other Thoughts: The dongle installed using the Windows 7 drivers but left some problem devices in device manager. I could pair with my tablet but file transfers would fail. After installing the driver from Toshiba (Bluetooth Bluetooth Module PA3710U) Device manager was cleaned up & everything worked after giving permissions to connect and share.
