If you use Skypeout a lot you need this phone!
- Pros: We live in Peru and this phone solved our long distance woes. We can use the phone with our Skypeout minutes and wander around the house or yard - the advantage of going cordless. We can also make local calls. Setting the phone up took a grand total of 15 minutes. The phone lets you set up different ring tones based on the incoming call - Skype calls, SkypeIn calls, and local calls. No more being pinned down to the computer and headset!
Since it hooks directly to your router, it doesn't depend on having a computer on all the time, and it is not OS specific.
- Cons: The power adapters are only 110v - I wish they would have used 100-240v adapters. The handset gets uncomfortable on your ear after half an hour or so.
- Other Thoughts: I wish I would have bought this phone 6 months before I did. It has made using Skype as easy as making regular phone calls. If you live overseas and make a lot of calls to the US, the phone pays for itself in about a month.
Excellent Phone
- Pros: The Phone is quite excellent actually. The reseption is amazing . no dropped calls or echoing on the line. Called as far as Colorado with skype out and is amazing. feels like the people I'm clling are local.
- Cons: nothing bad to say about this product .
- Other Thoughts: The signal strength from the base ia awesome. I have a 1,000 sq ft apartment and I can talk from anywhere in the house, and the DEC security is a plus, line is secure. The 500 telephone capacity telephone book is nice and the interface is easy to navigate. Overall I was very pleased with my purchase of this phone. Yeah and the cool thing is you can also make landline calls VoIP with the phone. Calls come in with a different tone when someone from skype is calling which is a nice feature.

This WAS a good phone
- Pros: Good looking
good voice quality

- Other Thoughts: Gee Whiz, what is it with Philips? I have never been impressed with their products until I needed a Skype phone and the on-line reviews showed strong support for this product. They were right; great product, but now comes word that the phone has been discontinued. Sigh.
I do not use the phone myself; it's for my college freshman daughter. Still, she talks a LOT and I would be the first to know if the phone had issues.
Skype phone super deal
- Pros: My first phone was LI***YS CIT200 was ok but computer had to keep running, loosing sound echo.

Works well
- Pros: Works well - Calls are clear although I do experience more dropped calls than with pc version of Skype but not enough to worry about.
- Cons: None really.
- Other Thoughts: I do wish it had an answering machine built in but I could always sign up for the skype service, however, that would not help with land line calls.
