5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Tiny! Let me split a single wired connection in my bedroom for a Media Center Extender and a new TV for DLNA. Only $10 for a 5 port switch

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: (gigabit would be nice but not necessary.)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Awesome!

Pros: Works as advertised, it's a switch, not a router.

Cons: If you hook it directly to your cable modem it will not function for more than one device. For more than one device you need a router.

Other Thoughts: Works awesome and is super tiny. Currently powered off the built in USB port on my Airport Extreme.

3 out of 5 eggsit works, but...

Pros: on the bright side, it's cheap, it's plug and play and works, but...

Cons: it slows my internet connection to a crawl, so trying to hook up two computers AND have a usable internet connection seems to be a no go...

Other Thoughts: however, in spite of it totally bogging down my internet connection (from 20mb/s to 1mb/s) it does seem to allow for a decent connection in my home network, allowing for enough bandwidth to play a 720p mkv across the network, granted, i'm not sure it classifies as "streaming", it's basically my HTPC reading the file from another computer on my network and playing

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product for temp network

Pros: USB or standard power plug. I have only used the USB power connection to date. Purchased two and will use the other to make sure it is working.

So easy to expand a network if your desk / work location only has one network connection.

Cons: None at this time may purchase more for backup for smaller company networks.

5 out of 5 eggsCool Geek toy

Pros: I had to have this when I saw it, I have never before seen such a small switch.
That it can be powered by the usb port makes it a great tool for service and school.
I teach PC user classes and use this to expand the ethernet port for students.

Cons: No melt value

Other Thoughts: The only thing that would make this any cooler would be if it was gigabit. No reason for it, just that it would be cooler.

Two weeks after I bought this an 8-port version went on sale for 10 bucks. I bought it too, along with an equally small USB powered wifi router. All work great!

Pros: None

Cons: I took it out of the box and it would not work. Luckily I did not pay much for this hunk of junk. I would have sent it for a rma it but it is to late now.

5 out of 5 eggsSmall, Powerful

Pros: USB Powered. Low cost, 5 port 100MB connectivity. Used it to add 5 ports to my D-link 655 (which has a USB port). The d-link has a USB port which will power this switch. I did not want to use more power adapters so this USB powered device was perfect. Box includes a 2 prong and USB cable

Cons: none that i can think of.....
