2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None. I'm sure I just got a bad product that happened to come off the line, so it probably would be a good product otherwise.

Cons: I installed this on my parents comp which I built and it didn't work once. The weird thing about it was that the computer recognized the device and verified it was functioning properly but it wouldn't detect any networks, no matter how close I drug the comp to the access point. Belkin is a good company but they've proved to me more than once that I can't trust their hardware.

Other Thoughts: I talked to a service call tech from Belkin on the matter, he had an Indian accent, go figure, wasting a total of an hour and a half of my life. In the end he said he couldn't help me and that he would give me a refund or free replacement. I didn't bother. This is the third product thats failed on me from Belkin.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I got four of these for my office and set up was a breeze. Had no problems with three out of the four. Plug and play all the way.

Cons: THESE ARE NOT COMPATABLE WITH VISTA 64! As I said in the pro's 3/4 installed nice and easy. The 3 were xp boxes and the 1 that didn't work was a vista box. I couldn't find drivers anywhere so I have to return it which is a pain.

Other Thoughts: With the exception of the vista hiccup these are fantastic cards.

3 out of 5 eggsWell..........

Pros: As I mentioned in my previous review, the driver seems to work well. I have one system on each end of the house and the Belkin AP in the middle. These cards pick up a good strong signal with my Belkin AP. Once they connect, they stay connected.

Cons: This card worked great for about a month, then, It just quit. No warning and I can't see why. It's dead!

Other Thoughts: Will RMA for exchange. I still have hope.......

4 out of 5 eggsInformation

Pros: My card is ver. 2000. I use the driver package off the website, dated 04/24/07 labeled F5D7001_7011v2.exe
Using this with my G+ A.P. seems to work very well and keeps a strong connection.

Cons: Picky about how you set it up. I can't make Windows zero configuration work with mine and the original drivers I got were not great either.

Other Thoughts: I am buying a second one of these for my house. I'll update about it ASAP. If it is the same version, I have hope!

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It would have been a Pro if the thing worked as described. on the box. 10x faster, 700' range. As it is, the only Pro is the Lifetime Warranty. I hope there are no hassles to warranty this product.

Cons: I do have a Belkin g+ router which works well. I was hoping that the G+ card would work well with that router to increase the signal. My old Motorola 54g works much better.
Very disappointed in this product.

2 out of 5 eggsUnacceptable

Pros: Runs at 54mbps once in a while

Cons: Cannot keep a stable connection for longer than 3 minutes, and 90% of the time never runs at higher than 36mbps, and actual speed is even slower

Other Thoughts: terrible card, replaced with an EDIMAX EW-7128G, which works like a charm

4 out of 5 eggsMine works in Linux

Pros: Price mainly. Free of coards, well one anyway...

Cons: Took a little work to set it up, but works. Not as good of antenna I think. I can't have solid signal strength unless I am 10 feet from AP. I have 2 APs, different brands and I get the same results with both.

Other Thoughts: I have used this with Ubuntu 6.06, 6.10 and 7.04, Suse 10.2 and Fedora 5 and 6. Takes work to set it up but mine uses the Broadcom chipset BCM43XX si it works....

2 out of 5 eggsNot for LINUX

Pros: It works. It is pretty easy to setup on a Windows 2000 computer for me having intermediate network administration knwoeledge.

Cons: IT is not nearly as fast as is advertised even within 10 feet of the router. There are no drivers for LINUX. Getting it to work on my LINUX computer took 5 days of intense study and then about an hour of programming. I will never buy another Belkin product of any kind.

Other Thoughts: Because LINUX is the future, especially with Vista coming out and no one able to run it on their existing equipment, any company that does not embrace LINUX, or provide drivers should be boycotted.
