Pros: I purchased this router so that I could add wireless-n to my existing Fios wireless-g router. It was easy to set up -- I did not even have to modify any settings on my router as I simply added it as I would any new access point. After giving it a name and assigning a passcode, I was easily able to connect my devices which are now running noticeably faster (at or near the 300Mbps rating).
Cons: The screen is nice in that it can show some useful information (including connected devices), but it is a small, primitive, low-resolution screen and is difficult to navigate using the poor directional pad. Considering 10 year old cell phones had better displays, I would expect more. Not enough for me to take away eggs since I view the screen as more of a gimmick than anything else and the router works exactly as advertised, I thought they could do much more than they did with the screen. To me, it's an afterthought and might as well not be there.
Other Thoughts: The item comes well packaged (Belkin appears to have learned something from Apple) and, other than the screen, seems to be well made. I would have liked to have the option to mount the unit flat, but the fixed stand makes that a bit difficult.

Pros: Great design!
Cons: Horrible tech support - my router had to be replaced by Belkin as they could not get it working after almost a week of trouble shooting... it was escalated to level III support (who has to call you back) and despite telling them I work, they kept calling me back during the day. After they could not get the router to work, they issued a new one but I have to pay for shipping costs ! What the ...! Hopefully this replacement has gone through better QC!!!
Other Thoughts: For the cost, this router should be the BEST OF THE BEST (including TECH support). Performance is not better than a router costing 20% of this one. SAVE THE MONEY and buy another brand! If you do buy it, buy it at you local store so if you need to replace it you can just return it to the store and not deal with BELKIN's return policy!

Rating: 5/5Working fine for me
Pros: I bought this router 3 weeks ago when it was on sale for $65- I am not a networking ghuru- but I understand the basics and a bit more- It worked perfectly right out of the box- I did some research on this unit and found out that firmware version #1 had significant problems- Make sure you get only version #2
Cons: I wish the base of the router stand was more substantial- The unit is easily moved by accident
Other Thoughts: Great piece of engineering!

Rating: 1/5Daniel Tosh can work on his golf swing with this any day
Pros: The screen is pretty cool
Cons: Let's see, the constant dropping of signal, even from less than 5 ft. away, the incompatibility with ubuntu (I'm running Ubuntu Ultimate 2.4 with ndiswrapper fully installed, the adapter, a Netgear WG111v2, runs fine with my system, but won't connect to the router, I've currently got it running with an ethernet cable attached to the back). To make things worse, my roommate runs this on a g network, even though it's n capable.
Other Thoughts: Anyone with Ubuntu out there, just stay away from Belkin altogether for your own sanity.

Rating: 3/5Belkin N1 Vision- Missing Basic Features
Pros: Looks nice, like the display, gigabit ports
Cons: Missing some basic features: DHCP Reservation and Clear Wireless Guest Access
Other Thoughts: I bought this because I wanted something with 1) 802.11n, 2) Gigabit ports, and 3) Support for multiple SSIDs with the native firmware. This was replacing an old Linksys 802.11g with 10/100 ports running DD-WRT (to get the multiple SSIDs), but I found DD-WRT a bit more difficult to configure with multiple SSIDs than I was truly comfortable with.
But there were two problems.
The first problem was totally unexpected. No DHCP Reservations (Configuring the router's DHCP to assign a set IP address to a given MAC address). So, that makes other features like Port Forwarding pretty useless without a goofy workaround. Luckily, I googled and found a way to make this work through backdoor console commands.
The second problem is something I can live with, but is still a bit of a disappointment. There is only one set of security settings for both SSIDs. So, you can configure a main wireless network and a guest wireless network, but you can't make one encrypted and one clear.

Rating: 1/5Great Concept, Very Poor Execution
Pros: * Highly visible screen * The little round bandwidth indicators are a killer feature. I found myself looking at them all the time to see whether my connection was saturated, or whether the web site I was visiting was being slow. * Current and daily total bandwith counters on the screen are exceedingly helpful. Keep you from opening the web interface as much * Gigabit ports are nice * No problem keeping up with FiOS speeds
Cons: * V1 was unstable for me * No IPSec VPN support in V2 * Used to be lifetime warranty * Horrid tech support * No link lights
Other Thoughts: I purchased a V1. It froze up on me perhaps once a week. After a lengthy set of support calls, Belkin replaced it with a V2. The V2 appeared quite a bit more stable. *But* it did not allow IPSec ESP/IP packets to pass through, which I need for my corporate VPN. Tech support calls always started with "which TCP port does it use?" Me: "it doesn't use TCP." Hilarity ensues.
I really liked this router, so I spent quite a bit of time getting through to Belkin's engineers to describe the problem. I even provided packet dumps on both sides of the router. They said they'd work on a fix, but 6 months later they had not done anything. They offered me my money back, and I took it.

Rating: 5/5Perfect
Pros: For anyone reading the other negative reviews please realize that those problems are gone with the V2 model. I have had this for over 3 months and not one issue. No dropped connections, no lag, great speed. I have had mutiple devices connected at the same time and no problems what so ever. ( PS3, Xbox 360, wireless laptop and an iphone at the same time no loss of connection). Signal strengh is an A+ upstairs in the furthest corner i have full strength.
Also the " hard to push buttons" are some what misleading. True these are not touch to change screens you need to press it. Its a button people not a touch screen. If it doesnt click your not pressing the button.
To the person so said no link lights is a negative....There is an screen to display what and who is connected. Why go for blinking LEDs when you have a display that will show you what is connected.
Easy setup never had one issue this product is great and now a center peice on my table where my gaming equipment is.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Again a lot of the problems people had were due to the V1 being buggy and the usual DAU error.

Rating: 5/5V2.04 Works Perfectly
Pros: Fast Stable Gigabit Ports Great range
Cons: None really
Other Thoughts: Many of you with the negative reviews either bought version 1.x of this router or lack the expertise to figure things out. I purposely bought V2 of this router 9 months ago knowing that version 1 had many issues and v2 was stable.
In the 9 months I have had this router I have had "0" disconnects or dropouts. In my tri level house with four computers hooked up wirelessly (two N and two G) I am getting either excellent coverage or very good in the corners of the house furthest away.
The lcd display works well albeit it takes a firm push to change screens.
Over the years I have had my fill of wireless routers including two Linksys (wrt54gl as one) a Netgear, and a Buffalo unit and this is by far the best and most stable router I have owned.
Get V2.0 of this router and you cannot go wrong.
