2 out of 5 eggsgarbage

Pros: cheap

Cons: cheap, drops packets, erratic signal and internet quality. terrible utility software that you must use to share a USB device.

Other Thoughts: macbook pro 18dn 5up broadband internet. would not download to my Macbook pro at more than 12 and only 2 up, lots of packet loss and just all around unstable. The USB drive sharing is only with the garbage Belkin user software. You have to have it running to share the drive garbage. The setup was not difficult but it was in depth, not recommended for the technically unsavvy or those not familiar with routers.
I would not recommend this or buy it again. Im very glad that I got it at a shellshocker price.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a gigabit router

Pros: Its an okay NON-gigabit router

Cons: This is unit is not advertised correctly. The wired LAN ports are only 10/100. For this to be a true gigabit router they need to be 10/100/1000. I looked up the spec sheets for this unit, and it looks like Belkin conveniently failed to document the wired LAN speeds.

Other Thoughts: 600mbps wireless LAN speeds do not equal a gigabit.
Definitely not worth $72. Luckily I got it on sale for $39. Guess I'll throw it onto my pile of spare routers once I buy a real gigabit router.

1 out of 5 eggsToo Limited!

Pros: it is a dual-band router

Cons: Does not respond to DHCP request.
Virtual Servers (aka port forward) does not work if you try to enter more that 5 entries. Refuses to add entries at line 6 to 20. Or it will replace all line to line 6 entry

1 out of 5 eggsYUCK

Pros: They sell it at WalMart where you can get it 24x7

Cons: I was forced to buy mine at Wally World since my old router died late on Sunday night and I do my tech work from home via VPN. The worst router I have ever owned, it's extremely unstable, I have to reboot and power cycle regularly. I ordered another router yesterday.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to put DD-WRT on it and stick it in my drawer for a backup and hope I never use it.

4 out of 5 eggsFast..BUT

Pros: Very...VERY Fast for the first few weeks
5Ghz Mode
Guest Network

Cons: After a few weeks -> 2 months this thing just drops in speed output. The 5Ghz mode stopped working after the 3rd week. The 2.4Ghz mode is horrible (Although i have LOTS of 2.4Ghz devices). I'm not exactly sure if i have a problem with my Cisco USB Adapter, but i've seen a HUGE drop of speeds when someone calls me, either online or just through the phone. To be honest, i think this router would be better off with External Aerials, rather than Internal...

Other Thoughts: Overall its a good buy in the short-term run. I would'nt be buying it again, but i'd buy from Belkin again without hassle.

2 out of 5 eggsworks 50/50

Pros: USB port, dual band, Wired ports

Cons: signal strength varies when in line of sight. USB port wont recognize HP printers, Router restarts and/or sometimes hangs when receiving incoming voip.

Other Thoughts: works fine if only using the wired connections, however, wireless connectivity and signal is completely inconsistant. I don't have any other devices that operate on the same frequencies.

1 out of 5 eggs5GHz band not working

Pros: The 2.4GHz band works.

Cons: The 5GHz band doesn't seem to be working. I've looked around the net and it appears that this is a problem for a few others although most people don't seem to have this same problem. It's been difficult to get help to fix this...looks like I'll be returning it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat! Cheap!

Pros: It was cheap (Bought it at the store for cheaper than the egg. It is true dual band. It has a guest network mode. Its forwarding actually works.

Cons: It is a bit big. It doesn't have true gigabit networking.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I am happy with this one. I have used other Belkin routers both G and N in this series, and this is the best one yet. I purchases it because my N150 router was starting to get slow, and it wasn't truly port forwarding properly. This one fit the bill nicely. I did not buy this one at Newegg because it was cheaper at the big box store. I am pleased and will recommend it to anyone who needs a FAST router with many settings, dual bands, and easy setup.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Easy setup, excellent reception and output.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I didnt buy this from the egg(my netgear N router crapped out again 2x's in 6 months) I need a router and couldn't wait.
I figure to give this a try and I can tell you it far exceeds my expectation.
