5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Small and very easy to install and use. Just run through the set up once and you can forget about it.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I got this for an older second pc in the house I didn't want to go through modding. I've used this on both my PCs and my laptop and haven't had any issues with installs or connectivity at all in the last year.

5 out of 5 eggsNifty Little Guy

Pros: I bought one of these guys for gaming, it worked well, so I picked up 2 more. Never had a problem in my house with any of these.

Cons: Not a single one.

Other Thoughts: I game quite a bit, but I am no latency purist. I am sure maybe there is something better out there, but I have grown accustomed to this little guy and it works nicely. Also it doesn't have any programs that try to take over your network scanning abilities (cough cough, I am looking at you netgear)

2 out of 5 eggsGood at first, drops speeds

Pros: Bought this because the wireless adapter in my laptop went kaput. I bought a Linksys AE1200 USB adapter, which worked fine, but was a bit bigger than I wanted if I had to live with this for the long term. Read good reviews on the Belkin, so I took the plunge. It was a lot pickier about logging onto my university's enterprise network, for some reason, but I got it worked out. Got great speeds -- my wireless connection generally topped around 40 Mbps on a GOOD day, and I've gotten anything from 19 to 35 Mbps on this, which works just fine for me. It got slightly better speeds than my Linksys adapter when I tested them one after another.

The signal seems to be fine, for me. Our routers are in the hall in my dorm, so it picks up at 4-5 bars through a wall and at least 20-30 feet of distance. I get full signal in big lecture halls, etc.

It's a nice size -- the bulk of it is just a bit longer than the USB plug itself, so it only sticks out a bit. I probably wouldn't keep it plugged in while in the bag, but it doesn't make me feel like I'll constantly knock at it or anything.

LED light isn't too annoying, even at night, as it's inside the case. The unit gets warm, but not scalding.

Cons: Though I get great speeds when I initially plug in the unit, after 3-10 minutes, it will suddenly cut down to crawling. My university wireless is solid as a rock -- even at night, when everyone is at it, it trucks on at a quick speed. I've tested it going from 20+ Mbps to 0.5 Mbps, which cuts into even basic browsing, Netflix viewing, etc. The unit doesn't have enough time to overheat or anything that might explain this occurence, so I have NO idea why this drop-out is happening.

I also get the occasional completely dropped connection.

I get no problems like this from my Linksys adapter, which has been flawless and shows no such dropped speeds. I'm extremely disappointed, as I really wanted to like the Belkin adapter due to its size.

Other Thoughts: If I can figure out why this is happening and have a consistent product, I would 100% keep the Belkin. I just can't seem to figure it out.

1 out of 5 eggsThis model F7D2102 is outdated. NO Belkin Tech Support available !!

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: The F7D2102 version of the Belkin N300 Adapter is OUTDATED. Tried to get tech support from Belkin, on 3 day old one, not happening. These are being sold everywhere, at low price. I guess this is why. Connect speed 80Mbps at best, goes down from there. Advertised at up to 300Mbps.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello USMCTODD,

Please write us at customercare@belkin.com and we will work with you to get the speed issues you are having resolved.

Best Regards,
Belkin Support

4 out of 5 eggsN300 micro adapter

Pros: It worked. I was connected to the internet within 10 minutes of opening the box.
Various broadband speed tests showed it was delivering comparable internet download speeds to my wired 10/100 router. This was with the adapter 25 feet from my wireless router.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for internet access. Not for high speeds between my networked computers. I have not tested this and I don't care.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small, easy to install

Cons: horrible have it plugged into my desktop thats 20-25 feet away from my router. horrible lag and tried playing games online huge lag spikes and constant d/c. Tested speed on speedtest was getting less that 1mb per sec. Tried my laptop sitting right next to it got 8+mb per sec.

Other Thoughts: not wasting my time with belkin anymore had a n150 adapter caused same problems returned and got this one didnt notice an improvement in speed or anything...

Manufacturer Response:

Hello lets go magic,

Thank you for writing your review. The speed issues you are having are definitely an odd case. The range on this particular adapter would be a bit lower than a normal full size adapter due to the physical size difference for the antenna. Please contact us at customercare@belkin.com and we can have a senior technician contact you to troubleshoot the low throughput speeds.

Best Regards,
Belkin Support

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A lot faster than the egg saver shipping !

Cons: Let me get this right Newegg, you send it out UPS so they can transfer it over to the USPS and they handle the rest of the shipping. Why don't you just mail it out ? USPS doesn't stop at your business ?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Works as intended.
- Router is maybe 30 feet away, on the other side of two to three walls, and I get full signal. (5 bars, 54mbps)
- Adapter is small enough to leave plugged in when moving case.

Cons: - None.

Other Thoughts: (Used in a desktop)

Manufacturer Response:
