5 out of 5 eggsI love it

Pros: Paid $5. Worked out of the box. I never think about it---it's never given me any trouble. More than fast enough for browsing and file access. I just bought two identical machines and connected one to my router with wire and the other with this adapter. The wired machine is used as a desktop/server. I can't discern any difference in speed on the wired machine or on the wireless one, either in internet browsing or in accessing the files on the server.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I wish I'd bought more.

1 out of 5 eggsDrops my network like a hot potato

Pros: Small and cheap

Cons: Worked for one evening flawlessly, ever since constantly drops my network on a machine thats just 5 feet from my router. Drops occur every few minutes so mines headed to the garbage bin.

1 out of 5 eggsHasn't been a fun experience

Pros: I'm not really one to say that there aren't any pros so...it is in usb form.

Cons: I have had more problems with this than any other usb adapter I have used. Installed drivers and hooked up with NO problems. Five minutes later, connection dropped...this happened over and over until the wife router actually started dropping ALL devices. Never has this happened until I used this. This happened for 24 hours and then I unhooked the belkin adapter...everything went back to normal on the network for days; hooked it back up and BAM...network kept disconnecting all devices.

I switched to another usb wifi adapter and everything was fine. Switched back to the Belkin and it started all over again.

I checked my channels to see if they were conflicted with any others around me and they were good, uninstalled the box drivers and installed the latest (which were the same thing) and no help there. Even when it was connected it wouldn't go faster than 400kb/s...with the TP Link adapter it was going 3.4mb/s (megabytes...not bits).

Other Thoughts: Some people do good with this adapter, but no such luck for me :(

2 out of 5 eggsStopped working in a little less than 3 months

Pros: When it worked, it worked great.

Cons: Stopped working in less than 3 months. I started using it Feb, 23rd of this year. Woke up this morning, turned on my computer...no connection at all. Not even the adapter shows up in the connection settings. Tried different USB ports...nothing. Plugged in flaky Rosewill adapter (that doesn't support windows 8.1) and it fired right up.

Other Thoughts: I originally bought a Rosewill wireless adapter, only to find it doesn't work with windows 8.1. So, I figured Id pick this one up. It worked fantastic until it didnt anymore. Not worth the shipping to RMA it.

1 out of 5 eggsterrible

Pros: It connects to the internet.......eventually. I honestly can't sum up anything that can be considered positive. Its small and portable...thats all I got.

Cons: It is terrible for online gaming, web browsing, watching youtube, downloading music, or pretty much anything. It takes minutes for this thing to load websites which is absurd. It averaged about 30 kbps per second.....that is absolutely atrocious beyond perception.

Other Thoughts: It took me 3 days to download left 4 dead 2...3 DAYS!!!!!
don't buy this thing unless you're desperate for a painfully slow internet connection.

3 out of 5 eggsNo Software Available

Pros: Works quite well for the money.

Cons: No Software Available, rebate very slow to arrive.

Other Thoughts: Rebate was supposed to arrive in 6-8 weeks per the rebate form but actually took 12 weeks. DISHONEST MANUFACTURER!
