5 out of 5 eggsEasy

Pros: This review is based on the two simple facts that it could not have been more easily set up, and that it extends my network well enough for me. What I needed was another 30 feet, horizontally, and it gives me that.

Cons: It only stands upright. It can't be set up in a horizontal position.

5 out of 5 eggsFabulous with my TP link

Pros: Easy setup. Works with basic cheap TP link N router. No maintenance, stable

Cons: can't think of any

Other Thoughts: I purchased this because our modem and router are in a room at the back end of our home and I needed a hardwire connection to my own computer at the other end of the house. I also have an older Blu-ray player with netflix, but it's not wifi. Now I have the Belkin extender next to the TV and cable box, have the blu-ray player hooked up, and a short cable running under my bedroom door, which is right along side of the tv stand. I get a full and fast signal, just as fast as if I was plugged into my 50 foot cable running across the living room. I only paid 19.99 for this as a daily bargain through Woot! Awesome buy. I want another one for our other home!!!

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect

Pros: Able to extend most WiFi features as if you were on your main WiFi router.
Very easy to setup.
Very low maintenance. Once setup, you connect to the extended network and can still connect to everything using your main router as if you're all on the same connection/network.
Very stable.
Works great with my BELKIN F9K1118 AC 1800 DB Wi-Fi Dual-Band AC+ Gigabit Router.

Cons: Does not work with Native Windows RDC. It does work with 3rd party remote desktop connection applications such as Splashtop. But not native Windows RDC.

Other Thoughts: I've been able to use the extender to do almost everything I'd do on my main router. With the exception of Native Windows RDC (Remote Desktop Connection). That always results in the remote machine not being found. I've spend 2 hours with Belkin support, gone through every test and change they could think of and they still could not make it work. They've escalated my mention of the issue to try and see if they can fix it. But if you really need native Windows RDC to be extended. This Range Extender cannot do it. It's great for everything else though and Splashtop works just fine with it for RDC via mobile devices.

1 out of 5 eggsBelkin WiFi Extender

Pros: Bought for my parents-Looks nice (so do some BMW's but we know they don't run very well either!)

Cons: Unable to access website to set up extender-on two different networks. Called tech support and was informed it was my computer network, and that I needed to have two different IP addresses, and that they thought there was something wrong with my computer. Would not address ANY PROBLEMS until I paid $120 the *Bilking* support (whomever Belkin contracts with).

Other Thoughts: IF I had known that this was such a hassle, I would not have bothered. I think it may be cheaper to pay for another phone line/number than to deal with the issues we had.

3 out of 5 eggsdoes a decent job

Pros: finally found something that wasn't something cheap from China and wouldn't function. Bought a name brand and it works.

Cons: This unit does not work with the 3 antennae Wireless N1 Router that Belkin produces. I RMA'ed the first one of these range extenders at their suggestion after it wouldn't pick up the network. The new one came and the same problem happened. I bought a NEW belkin router, the one that looks identical to this and BANG! works the first go. wasted $20 shipping a perfectly fine unit back under RMA because Belkin support doesn't know their products well enough.

Other Thoughts: 4 egg unit, could be better, but it met my needs for a cheap price.
3 eggs for Belkin's customer service. I would very much like for them to refund my shipping cost.

3 out of 5 eggsNeeds 2 features

Pros: Paired with a Belkin N750 dual band router and it does extend the network.

Cons: You can't set a static IP - so depending on the router the extenders' IP can change which makes "finding" it a pain. Also, one of the nice features of the N750 is it's "self healing" - you can set it to reboot in the dead of night - however, using the feature causes the extender to go off line. If the extender had the same feature you could have it reboot a half hour after the router and they would stay paired up.

2 out of 5 eggsOnly good for general surfing, Not for video.

Pros: I purchased this to give better coverage to the far end of my house for my media center viewing. It does extend the coverage fairly well.

Cons: Frequent disconnects.
If you push a decent amount of data, it cant handle it. I was trying to view tv via media center and it couldn't handle the connection and kept disconnecting.
