1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your $$

Pros: Liked the small size, did do the job for a short time.

Cons: Went to stream a movie on my tv and than realized no wifi. Looked at this wonderful unit plugged in the wall to find out that it was DEAD! After only 1 year? Really? Will never recommend this to anyone.

1 out of 5 eggsWorks great - for awhile; Belkin support lacking

Pros: Easy setup; Worked great; Provided two additional access points

Cons: Belkin support policy

Other Thoughts: Product came with a two-year limited warranty, but free Belkin support assistance ends after 90 days. 11 months after purchase the thing stopped working. No signal. No light. Totally unresponsive. Tried all the troubleshooting tricks in the user manually. It's dead. Cannot get anything from Belkin unless I pay a minimum of $20. More trouble than it's worth to send in to see if I can get a replacement. Will have to think seriously before buying ANY Belkin product in the future because of the support factor. NOTE: my product was NOT purchased via Newegg, but I figured y'all should know about my experience.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great with caveat

Pros: Dual 2.4Ghz/5GHz wireless support,
light turns blue or ember depending on strong/weak signal link,
stable wireless use after tinkering, read my thoughts below

Cons: Worked intermittently right out of the box.
Claims seemless setup by using both wired and wireless access to the extender, this was not the case for me.
Needs almost uncluttered direct line of sight to the router.

Other Thoughts: Pretty straightforward hookup, just followed directions, easy connect for about a day. Then, the extender was showing full 5 bars (also blue solid light) and I was starting to have authentication errors. Tried connecting Android, Windows and Apple devices with the same result.

I used wireless access to the extender when initially setting it up. That was my mistake. After days of frustration, reset the device and had it hooked up directly to my computer. I was able to have a stable connection. Also, downloaded the latest firmware from 10/13 (original was from 03/13). Most problems went away immediately.

None of this was mentioned in the manual or on Belking website. Basically, figured it all out by trial and error and what I was able to find on the internet from other frustrating users.

Also, if you have a wireless handheld telephone set at home, make sure to force your router to have either channel 6 or 11. That eliminated the issue with signal interference.

Now, the device is all Ok.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Very small; Nice look; Dual band; Easy setup; Works well for average surfing, emailing, and occasional video. Never tried streaming long term HD content (like movies), so I can't attest to that.

Cons: Non removable antennas. While I love the compact design, it's extremely limited as to where you can put it. It plugs directly into an outlet. Most power outlets are only a foot or so above the floor so, by design, it'll limit your range. Also, when plugged in, it's just large enough so you can not plug a 3 prong plug into the other receptacle. A smaller, 2 prong may fit, but it'll be tight. Not worth the safety hazard. High price for what you get.

Other Thoughts: It should have a separate power supply so it can be mounted higher on the wall. While the slightly curved bezel is astheticly pleasing, if it was squared off and shrunk a bit, it would allow access to the other receptacle. It pretty expensive considering other brands offer more features like removable antennas and separate power supplies for less money. Had to take off an egg for the plug-in design and high price.

1 out of 5 eggsNothing but problems!!!

Pros: Clean, small out of the way...., Strong connection, sort of easy to set up.... however.....

Cons: Right after installing and enjoying full bars.... accessed my NAS to run a movie, as I do ALL THE TIME through my DIR-655 D-Link router via WIFi... The movie "sputtered" the entire time....! The network LAG was horrible..! Yet I had FULL BARS... Excellent Signal... ALL over the house..! After I disconnected, cleared and reconnected the entire installation.... SAME PERFORMANCE LAG..!!!
SO I disconnected the Belkin N300 unit altogether, moved into range of my Main DIR-655 Wireless Router, connected to my NAS, ran my movie, PERFECT as always.
Dont know what the issue is, but the "communication" though strong, is flawed somehow between the Router and the Extender... and causes terrible network lag when trying to run video or audio media... which I was lead to believe was the entire purpose of this range-extenders existence..!

Other Thoughts: After removing the Belkin N300 Range Extender from my network.... all went back to normal and though I am limited in coverage from my D-Link router.... at least its a SOLD WiFi CONNECTION when it does reach! VERY FRUSTRATED...!!! Going to return the unit and try something else..!
