5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: -Wireless PCI Bus interface
-Easy to install and use
-Cool antenna feature
-Decent Range (40 ft + 3 walls yields "Good")

Cons: -Windows automatic detection and driver install would not handle this card, easy enough, use bundled software
-Would not function in dinosaur machine with a sapphire 9250 video card in another PCI bus. Video card removed, this worked.
Now using onboard video. (Moved card to another relic machine wired to router)

Other Thoughts: 3 out of 3 ordered work. Not entirely sure about the compatibility with PCI video cards, but only older machines use them so it is not that big a deal.

3 out of 5 eggsAll but WPA2

Pros: Installed fine and gets good reception. The antenna is on top of my computer and is in direct line of sight from my 6 dBi. It's also only 10 feet away. Works at 54kbps and WPA1.

Cons: DOES NOT SUPPORT WPA2:
When I change my Linksys WRT54G to WPA2, it can't find the router, even though my wife's laptop can find the router just fine.

Other Thoughts: Rated as a 3 because the specs say WPA2 even though it's not supported.

4 out of 5 eggsgood deal

Pros: works great for what I use it for, cheap.

Cons: antenna isn't as strong as it could be. I have two of these, and the computer in the other building on our grounds doesn't get a great signal, even though its very close by. Got a better antenna, and now it works great!

Other Thoughts: fast shipping. Newegg rules

5 out of 5 eggsLike it a lot, painless to set up.

Pros: Perfectly simple installation. No effort at all other than popping open the case to put the card in. After I turned the computer back on, WinXP had the thing connected and on the internet before the side of the case was on!

Full up encryption works as advertised, no software to install (in WinXP at least).

Great signal strength and bandwidth. External antenna is a plus to me because it keeps the antenna out of the mess of cords and crush zone behind the desk-mounted cubbyholes.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Linux is happy with these, too.

3 out of 5 eggsOk for the money

Pros: These cards are decent for the money.

Cons: Tried to use the Super G Network to boost the speed on the network and got a 70% drop rate with the packets over the network. Had to disable Speed Boost and Extended Range to get decent reliability out of the cards.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Adapter

Pros: Works wonderful! Excellent range, easy install. Excellent connection.
I have this installed on a computer a floor below in the far corner of the room in computer under a desk. The Case sits on a shelf and the antenna sits on the floor below the shelf. No problems at all..

Cons: My Router isn't 108mb.. Other people on Newegg that don't know what they are doing

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent distance, works well with Linux

Pros: I bought this card because it has a detachable antenna and an Atheros chipset. Atheros chipsets work very well with monitor mode or promiscuous mode so you can use them with kismet and aireplay. Installed with Ubuntu no prob.

Cons: Not really a con: Antenna is tiny, but it works just fine. The plus side is if you want a bigger one go buy it! You're not bound to any one antenna.

Other Thoughts: The proprietary software it comes with (Atheros Client Utility) isn't very good looking but it allows you to quickly change between APs and name those different connections, and finds APs easily with a nice signal strength monitor.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: works very well holds the signal and with the remote antena it out preforms my high priced adapter with the pci mounted adapter.

Cons: only runs at 54 eventhough I have a 125 G+ router.

Other Thoughts: I did not use the software just the driver and my XP hardware manager, that may be the problem, I don't know.
