Plug and Play in Ubuntu
- Cons: Bulky: blocks the other USB port on my laptop.
- Other Thoughts: Other than the bulk, this thing is a no-brainer. Uses zd1211rw driver in Ubuntu.
- Pros: 3 in 1 usb adapter/wi-fi detector/and access point for 20 bucks. need i say more?
- Cons: it dosen't pick up as storng of a signal as a pci adapter would,not too bad though
- Other Thoughts: using this along side pci adapter to speed up internet and downloads using the utility for usb and windows config for pci adpter was kind of tricky to get them both to connect at same time
, all in all works well, it aalmost doubles my connection
Comprehensive
- Pros: This device is a gem. It will map your RF field (Antenna Lobes) and it works perfectly as a wireless adapter, at least for XP. For $20 delivered, it's unbeatable.
- Cons: If anything, it's a tight USB fit.
- Other Thoughts: It's an excellent piece of test equipment and wireless adapter. Everyone who has wireless will benefit from one of these.
