5 out of 5 eggsGood product!

Pros: Good design and the extra usb cord made it very adaptable. I just set it up on a bookshelf. It was reasonably priced and solved my problem easily. The software was very helpful for me, and didn't cause me any problems (vista).

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I was very happy this worked as well as it did. My built in wireless card was weak and this adapter did the trick, grabbing the routers signal so it was strong and clean.

4 out of 5 eggsTop Notch

Pros: Works great with Linux, OS X, and with windows(tried it with 2000, vista, and 7).
Great for use with kismac, as this is sporting the ralink RT73 chipset(at least the version I got).

Cons: The only real con I can think of (and the only reason this is one egg short)is that it isn't quite as sensitive as my intel 3945ABG card, or another no-name atheros based stick that I have. This kinda sucks if you are trying to use it on an access point that is far away.

Other Thoughts: Solid build quality, halfway decent windows based connection software(which is odd, as the utilities they give you with these thing usually suck), removeable antenna is great, and with an external hi-gain antenna, you can easily overcome the lower sensitivity level of this great little adapter.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: • Works out of box with Windows 7, no need to even install drivers
• Looks nice
• It is fast!

Cons: • None.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace this cheap Rosewill USB adapter that was incredibly slow. This one works wonderfully and gets the full speed of my internet connection. Download speeds around 600KBps

5 out of 5 eggsSupports WPA2

Pros: The NewEgg specs say that this adapter only supports WPA, but actually I had no problems connecting to our WPA2 network.

It has a big antenna, which is important for radio reception.

We've had it for over a year with no problems -- works great!

Cons: The device is warm to the touch when operating. Maybe that means it uses more power than other adapters.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice.

Pros: Based on the RT73 chipset, so this is a great adapter if you are looking for something to do packet injection(well supported by aircrack-ng, and kismac). Also, it is a good adapter all around. It works on all my machines, from my new unibody macbook pro, to my old HP P3 laptop running windows 2000. The windows based connection tool that they provide is the best I've seen, has the most configuration options.
Solid build quality, nice antenna. Overall, probably one of the nicest dongles you can buy.

Cons: None that I have experienced.

Other Thoughts: This doesn't seem to be quite as sensitive as the RTL8187L, or Atheros based devices that I've tried. So, If you are trying to connect to something far away, you may want to find a device based on one of those chipsets instead.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Little Card

Pros: If you have windows 7 , it's drivers work fine. The security settings for this are great also. I get a good signal especialy with the antenna. 4-5 bars from the other end of my house going through 3 walls. usb extension cable is nice. I use that and mounted the card up on my wall for a better signal.

Cons: None that i am experiencing.

Other Thoughts: can't go wrong with this piece of equipment at this price.

5 out of 5 eggsHi gain USB WiFi

Pros: This has worked very well right out of the box. I was having some issues with the current WiFi card I was using just not getting enough signal strength to stay connected all the time even though I wasn't moving the computer. The EDIMAX made a huge difference in signal strength and maintaining it without any dropouts. I actually leave this computer on all the time with monitoring software so if I get a drop out and let me know in seconds.... but that's never happened with this part. Highly recommended

Cons: It's a little awkward because of its higher antenna. For instance if the USB ports are in the back of a portable opening the portable LCD within the antenna downward.... it's completely adjustable so that's not really a major issue.... but anything sticking out of a portable can get snagged on something.... with a desktop no issues at all.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Works great no problems at all.

Cons: Tried it on a hackintosh and you have to use the wireless utility that comes with it but meh better than no wireless!

Other Thoughts: I changed the hackintosh to a windows machine again and works great on there too so no complaints
