IEEE Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) Compliance Saves Power Up to 58%
The Switch GS-1026 offers environmental efficiency with Gigabit Ethernet speeds critical for next-generation network applications. To comply with the IEEE802.3az standard, the Switch GS-1026 provides power saving functions to reduce energy consumption to help business save cost.

Inactive Link Detection
The power usage adjustment feature automatically reduces power usage when any shut down network device or inactive link is detected. That is, power consumption of the switch can be adjusted according to the link status or the number of active network devices when possible.

Cable Length Detection
The devices equipped with this green feature can automatically detect the length of connected Ethernet cables and adjust power usage accordingly. The shorter the cable length, the less power it consumes.

Supports High-Speed Networking and Jumbo Frames
The GS-1026 is an excellent solution to expand your Gigabit network. With Gigabit speed, the GS-1026 gives high flexibility and high bandwidth connectivity to servers, workstations and other attached devices. It enables you to save time when transferring large files. In addition, it also supports Jumbo Frames 9K to improve network utilization in large files transfer.

Fan-Less Design
Since the fan-less design ensures quiet operation in small office spaces, the GS-1026 is the perfect solution for small business and SOHO office deployments.

Supports Auto-Negotiation
Every port of the GS-1026 can automatically distinguish the connected network devices are running at 10Mbps, 100Mbps for Half/Full-Duplex mode and 1000Mbps for Full-Duplex mode. The GS-1026 can adjust the speed and mode accordingly.

Supports Non-Blocking Wire Speed
The GS-1026 receives and forwards traffic seamlessly with its non-blocking wire-speed. Every port of the GS-1026 has the speed up to 2000Mbps in full-duplex mode simultaneously . This feature provides full wire speed to the connected devices and allows you to run a high speed network smoothly.

Supports Store and Forward Architecture
With the store and forward architecture filters fragment & CRC error packets, the GS-1026 can maximize network performance while minimizing the propagation of bad network packets.

*Maximum performance, actual data rates, and coverage will vary depending on network conditions and environmental factors.
*Product specifications and design are subject to change without notice.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: Purchased 10/16/2012
Using in the home as one of 2 switches. The other switch was bought on Newegg (TP-LINK TL-SG1024D). Using both with a router running DD-WRT.

Cons: No perceived issues.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Gigabit, every single port!
Tested a majority of the ports simultaneous gigabit throughput.
Comes with really nice and sticky rubber stand-off feet, perfect for if you aren't rackmounting it.
Comes with nice brackets for easy rackmounting.
Responsive store and forward, adds microsecond latency.
16K MAC table and 448K buffer!
Very solid construction, nothing on it appears cheap other than the inconsistent LAN indicator brightness.

Cons: Unmanaged, would have liked to have some routing options, but can't beat the cost...
SPF only gigabit, not SPF+, but everything can always be better so no point in dwelling on it.
Some of the LAN indicator lights arent as bright as others, kind of weird, all ports are running gigabit ruling out dimmer for fast ethernet. Lack of proper power distribution?
Has the Ethernet ports in the front, which is either a pro or con depending on your preference. Routing the cable through the top or bottom of the cabinet, or through an empty unit is not as ideal as simply having ports in the back...
Would be nice if it had the indicators it has on the front but ports on the back, and also have a power and activity indicator at the actual port.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a very solid purchase, it can of course be improved upon but for the price it can't be beat as is! 24 gigabit ports are fantastic to cover a 24U case (But -1 or more for WAN I guess) or your personal LAN parties! Haven't owned it for long, so we'll see how it holds up in the long run.
