3 out of 5 eggsIt's a wireless adapter...

This review is from: ASUS USB-N13 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: When it works it works well, but i find it still drops connection here and there. If you're not a power user than I would recommend it but if you are anything other than a power user, spend more money to get something better.

Cons: Drops connection here and there, drivers kind of suck

1 out of 5 eggsStays Connected, But Slow And Unreliable Speeds

This review is from: ASUS USB-N13 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: It doesn't drop connection.

Cons: The most random speeds despite trying two different sets of drivers - the one that came with the CD and the B1 driver from the ASUS website.

I have a 75/30 fibre optic connection. This dongle only achieves these speeds -randomly-. What I mean is, one evening it will hit 75/30 consistently, the next morning it will struggle to hit 45. The Intel wi-fi card in my Lenovo Z710 achieves 75/30 every time with no struggle, guaranteed, in the same location, but this ASUS wi-fi dongle appears to be schizophrenic about what speeds it can deliver. I don't recommend anyone purchase this. Very disappointing for an ASUS product.

3 out of 5 eggsASUS USB-N13 Wireless Adapter

This review is from: ASUS USB-N13 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: -Worked straight out of the box
-Easy to setup
-Good overall connection speed
-Good for everyday web browsing

Cons: -Fragile USB connector, bends easily
-Very limited wifi range
-Drops connection frequently
-Not good for Internet hogging games

Other Thoughts: Its a decent Wireless Adapter for everyday web browsing. Ive been using it for 2 years now and for the past months it keeps dropping my connection and wireless speeds are being throttled through it. Need to upgrade to a wired connection.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a while

This review is from: ASUS USB-N13 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: I'm writing a review after owning this adapter for 3 years, After 3 years it finally died. While looking for a new adapter, I figured I would write a review. Ran on Win7 box.
- Worked out of box
- Installed effortlessly
- Small and compact

Cons: Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good.
- Frequent freezing
- Frequent dropped connections
- Fluctuating speeds
- Fragile, light to moderate pressure can bend the connector
- In the process of dying (a few weeks) the buggy behavior was constant

Because this was a secondary computer, we didn't bother getting another adapter, but it's not something I would recommend for a primary computer.

Other Thoughts: The price was on par with the competition.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great, but only with old drivers

This review is from: ASUS USB-N13 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: Delivers what is expected from a usb wireless adapter.

Cons: On my win7 x64 OS, the device dropped connection about a dozen times a day when used with most up-to-date drivers or drivers that come with CD. I was able to solve the problem by using driver version 1015.2.906.2011 (driver date 06/09/2011): there are no connection drops in about a week of intensive use of network.

Other Thoughts: .
