4 out of 5 eggsASUS N-13 Linux Great

Pros: For Linux only I would give this adapter 5 stars. This adapter works right out of the box on my Linux Mint systems. Yes I would recommend it for Linux users wanting basic connectivity.

Cons: The problem came when I wanted to connect to Win7-64. I had misplaced the driver CD. Okay it's ASUS, I'll just download it (not). I downloaded the drivers and utilities files, but they did not work. For this I would have taken 4 stars off. Later, after ordering another USB Nic, I found my driver disc. It installed in Windows and runs fine.

Other Thoughts: ASUS has been a big name in the industry for a long long time. Driver downloads should not be a problem for their customers. Due to problems with ASUS products in the late 90's, I had steered away from buying ASUS products. I love their DVD drives, but I am going to be careful of products with drivers from here out. But I do give back 3 stars because it works so well with Linux and for that. Thank you ASUS.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Linux Adapters Hard To Find

Pros: It actually works

Cons: None come to mind

Other Thoughts: I tried several other adapters that claimed to work with a Linux type system. Haphazard to say the least. This one actually worked. However the one I had was much smaller than the one shown (more like a Logitech plug) and it actually said 'For Linux'.

1 out of 5 eggsProbably the worst adapter I've ever had.

Pros: Works great for about 3 months.

Cons: Everything else about it. The adapter eventually got to the point where it wouldn't connect to a single network, and all my other devices could. I swapped the adapter and I could connect to the wifi again, and tested this adapter on another computer and it still didn't work.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it. Please.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: - Very good and stable speeds
- Compact, fits everywhere
- ASUS

Cons: None.
If it doesn't work for you, I'm 90% sure it's the drivers, I fixed mine and it works great.

Other Thoughts: YOU CAN GAME WITH THIS. Many people claim that this is not good for gaming, I thought so too. But then I tested it for months with BF3, Hawken, TESO and it works great.

Also for people who are having problems with the device not working, it's the driver. Use the driver that comes with the CD, use compatibility settings,

1 out of 5 eggsRoll of the Dice

Pros: Apparently if you get the revision 2 model, you're getting a pretty decent piece of equipment.

Cons: I unfortunately, like several others with problems, received a revision 1 model, that can't hold a stable connection and is horrible to try to find drivers for.

Other Thoughts: You're really taking a chance as to which model you receive.
