Compatible with common operating systems, the ASUS USB-N10 allows you to plug in almost any USB enabled computer and enjoy the fantastic tangle-free wireless environment.

  • newegg Extremely Compact and Powerful USB-N10 is the smallest wireless USB adapter in the world. Boasting a 3 cm body length, it is easy to carry and takes up little space when attached to a notebook. Compared to most USB Wi-Fi adapters, it is extremely compact and sturdy with its pocket-sized format and strong plug-in design. This small size and strengthened one-piece shape allows a host notebook to be connected to the USB-N10 even when it is placed in a slim carrying case or bag. Thus you can enjoy constant connectivity with the ASUS USB-N10!
  • newegg EZ N First-class Performance The ASUS USB-N10 provides superior wireless performance for your PC compared to legacy wireless 802.11g technology. It uses a best-in-class MIFA antenna to deliver consistent HD quality data streaming and a much wider wireless operating range. In addition to providing better bandwidth and coverage, the 802.11n standard is also backward compatible with 11g and 11b networks, ensuring existing networking hardware can be fully utilized.
  • newegg PSP XLink Kai Support Similar to the USB-N13, the USB-N10 delivers PSP XLink connection support. You can play system-link games over the Internet rather than just over your LAN while on-the-move. (Visit teamxlink.co.uk to learn more and to join the XLink community.)
  • newegg Breakthrough Antenna Design The wireless USB adapter incorporates an impressive MIFA antenna which is better than PCB and Chip antennas widely used in generic adapters. This integrated antenna and connector design provides a compact form factor that is much smaller than conventional adapters and greatly expands the transmission range.
  • newegg Multiple OS Support - Windows, Mac and Linux USB-N10 allows you to easily enjoy wireless networking over various platforms. It is compatible with common operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Mac, and even the Windows 7 OS.

2 out of 5 eggsIt works but...

Pros: It does wifi, once connected, see below.

Cons: I'm using this with OSX. The wifi won't connect until the 'helper' program is open, so no pre login connection which is what I need to remote to that box as it sits without keyboard or mouse connected to the TV.
You have to type the network password/key twice before being able to connect, if you got one wrong start again. This is stupidly frustrating on a random 16 character key.
When I sleep the computer it does not resume the connection when waking up most of the time.

Other Thoughts: I should have gone for a more expensive PCI card. Instead of saving money now it has cost more. Lesson learned!

2 out of 5 eggsWorks great, with one major problem.

Pros: Works great, never disconnects, connection speed never drops. However, there's one MAJOR problem...

Cons: ...with the latest drivers, and tested on three computers, this adapter has a constant 6% packet loss. Browsing the internet, and playing most games works fine, however, with Battlefield 4, it's almost unplayable online. BF4 requires a flawless connection, and this packet loss causes major rubberbanding.

Other Thoughts: For casual use, I would recommend it, as it's cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsUSB-N10 Wireless simple easy USB

Pros: -Wireless b/g/n support;
-USB plug and play;
-Compact;
-Cheap;

Cons: -Single band only 2.4Ghz;
-N only up to 150Mbps link speed;
-The cover protector for the USB connector easy to lose;
-None;

Other Thoughts: I only wanted a cheap USB card that at least supported 2.4Ghz b/g/n and I did not care it was only up to 150Mbps link speed.

HTPC setup using my MOBOs on board 1Gbps wired, and wanted this USB Wireless to move the HTPC around the house or at a friends if needed.

HTPC build Windows 8,1 Pro 64bit with XBMC.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Small

Cons: Everything else. Got it to work one time right after I bought it and never again. It wasn't really fast but it worked, once. Tried on 2 different computers and still hasn't worked since the first time. Called customer support to try to get a replacement and they won't even look at it without a serial number which was worn off and illegible. Wasted $20 and about an hour on the phone. The worst rating I can give is 1 egg, would've left a 0 egg if I was able to.

1 out of 5 eggsThis thing is garbage

Pros: Small.

Cons: sooooo much slower than advertised. My internet dl is 55mbps direct link, 50mbps with my linksy wireless adapter, and 15 with this....150mbps is an absolute lie! ASUS what were you thinking?

Other Thoughts: If you're on the fence about buying this, let me just say I wouldn't use it even if it was free.

1 out of 5 eggsUnreliable

Pros: Small profile, easy to install drivers

Cons: I purchased this adapter for home. It worked OK, but I was getting very slow throughput. At first I didn't assume the adapter was the problem, but eventually I narrowed it down to the ASUS. I tried newer drivers but it didn't help. I replaced the adapter with another brand and the difference was amazing.

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small and cheap.

Cons: Very unpredictable. Sometimes you can get things downloaded, but often it'll just disconnect while downloading games, or playing them.

5 out of 5 eggsStill working good

Pros: I bought this to use for a family member. It is still working fine. One thing I like about this adapter is I was able to go in and boost signal for reading and buffer. This helped a lot for distance. I have it connecting to a wifi over 50+ft away. While it doesn't get the fastest speeds then it is doing its job.

Cons: No cons. Device is working as it should.

Other Thoughts: I got mine on sell. I have since bought another Asus wifi adapter which is working well too.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy installation

Pros: Small device that takes up very little room. Installed with little effort. Windows and Linux both saw the device and installed drivers. Did not need the install disk although I did run the install after Windows and Linux did their install and updates for the device.

Cons: None so far. I have not tested its range as the desktop sits 15 feet from the router.
I did not like the application that comes with the install disk to manage the device connection. Preferred Windows 7 application.

Other Thoughts: I ran out of hard connections on my Netgear WNDR-3700 and needed to add another desktop to my system.
The system that was added was running Windows 7 and Linux 12.04. Linux and Windows 7 both installed the drivers as soon as the system booted up.

4 out of 5 eggsWorking but hot

Pros: working well all the time. It has never stopped when I was downloading or playing online games

Cons: It's getting really hot in 10 mins. My skin felt burnt when I touch the metal end (USB socket). And I am not sure how long the lifespan is since it's hot
