1 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely terrible.

Pros: Bought at store, easy to return.

Cons: Doesn't work. Even updating to the WIn 8 drivers listed on other reviews still fails. The audio is jittery, terrible. PC otherwise works fine.

Irritated enough to yell a few times in the house.

Sabertooth 990fx AMD8350 8G Ram.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this. I actually recommend against using Bluetooth in general because of how poor these adapters are. The ASUS BT adapter is far the worst thing I ever bought. It simply fails to even work for the Motorola Headset I own. The headset works 100% fine with every phone in the house. This poor product out here is uncalled for and should be pulled from the market.

1 out of 5 eggsDisapointed

Pros: Don't know doesn't work

Cons: Says device driver doesn't install. Then I try to update the driver and my system tells me that the best driver is already installed. Went through the entire process on the disk 2ce and then downloaded the most up to date version online from ASUS web site. Not what I have come to expect from ASUS.

3 out of 5 eggsXP issues

Pros: Price is right

Cons: Got it going on my win7 machine and mating up to an ELM327 OBD2 module. No problem

The XP machine is another story. The Asus suite was used and it keeps installing 3 com ports 15,16 and 17. Would not be a problem but the OBD software and module are expectin com ports 1 through 5. Anything beyond and it's a no go. I can't change the port assignment as that tab is not available in the com port properties.

Pretty sure it's an XP muckup but can't pin it down so far. Anyone?

4 out of 5 eggsWindows 7 64Bit

Pros: Works most of the time

Cons: Audio stutter when resource usage is heavy

Other Thoughts: A former co-worker left one of these behind and I figured I'd give it a shot, as the one I was using before was very spotty and had to be restarted/reinstalled fairly often to work on a consistent basis. Had a few issues getting it going, but since then, it works like a charm. It stutters a bit when system resources are getting hit hard, but if I restart the device connected to it, things are fine.

If you are having driver issues, I'd recommend checking the latest for the Atheros AR3011 via http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=57&system=6

Ordering another for home right now.

4 out of 5 eggsBe sure to remove MotionJoy drivers before install

Pros: Works great, as expected. No issues I can confidently link back to the BT dongle.

Cons: I have been using it for a Wiimote along with Dolphin, and occasionally when I try to sync the Wiimote, the driver installation for the Wiimote fails. When it happens I just restart and it works the next time. I'm not sure if that's the dongle, or if something else isn't quite right, but it hasn't really been a problem.

Other Thoughts: I always grab drivers from the website for stuff like this, so I can't comment about on disc drivers. I can say, that I thought this was DOA until I tried removing all the drivers that MotionJoy had installed when I was doing stuff with an older BT dongle (just clicking remove button on the driver page). After I did that, it was immediately recognized and worked great.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: I've had this device now for 2 years and 3 months. It has worked without a hitch.

- General pairing/handshake has not presented any significant issues
- Works well when pairing Wii Remotes to PC
- Works well when pairing smartphone and headset to PC
- Works well when using internet via bluetooth tethering -- sometimes even better than via wi-fi portable hotspot tethering

Cons: I'm not sure if it's a major "con", but Windows 7 installs like 40 drivers when you plug this module in, so that it can interface with all of the different facets of bluetooth -- in which there's a TON. Even on a fast machine, expect it to take several minutes to get everything initialized on each machine you plug this into.

Other Thoughts: I love mini dongles. When I unplug everything from my rear I/O in order to go dust out my chassis, I can keep connectors like this plugged in since they don't get in my way. Haha.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Yes it works with Motion Joy software for wireless PS3 controller emulation. Haven't really used it for anything else, but it works well for what I brought it for.

Cons: It wasn't an ez straightforward install to get it to cooperate with the Motion Joy software, but after you get it working it works like a charm.

1 out of 5 eggsTextbook definition of "awful"

Pros: It's $13.

Cons: It truly IS $13 worth of device. ZERO DRIVER SUPPORT FOR WINDOWS 64-BIT. ZERO. None. Nada. Zilch. Zip. Goose Egg.

How many officially recognized Tour de France wins does Lance Armstrong have now?

As many Windows x64 computers as this "bluetooth adapter" supports.

OH SNAP! I went there.

But seriously. I just dropped $300 on a pair of Beats Wireless headphones and they work great except for the fact that I bought this terrible adapter and am forced to use my actual speakers or, worse - my cell phone. The driver software installed and then I got to hear my music about one second at a time with a nice two second pause in between. Fantastic.

I'd like to accept the "Biggest First World Problem" award and dedicate it to all the starving children in Africa.

Other Thoughts: I'm about to go back and get a $40 bluetooth adapter just so I can make the memory of this adapter leave me forever.

This thing is an absolute nightmare. Voice quality is horrible compared to the Azio I replaced it with.
