5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cards

Pros: Practically got these for free. Rebate covered cost of purchase. Worked excellent and lasted long. Didn't drop signal. USB is just as good as Internal IMO after using these cards. Maybe a slight speed reduction, but lets face it, USB transfers ~~20-30Mbps, unless you have google fiber you won't be stressing on that.

Cons: none.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Bad As A Backup

Pros: It's a wireless 300Mbps USB adapter. It came with a really neat USB base mount for the adapter, different from the one shown in the product page (better). It was fairly cheap; I purchased it when it was around $10 and it came included with a $10 rebate. It was essentially free for me. I will add that I did receive my rebate in a timely fashion.

Pingtest.net reports an average ping time of 10-15ms, jitter around 1-10ms and 0% packet loss on a fiber optic connection.

On Windows 8.1, it's a plug and play kind of deal

Cons: Once it's connected to your network, it tends to stay connected (though there are some dropouts). Reconnecting once you've disconnected is a major hassle. It takes 1-5 attempts to connect to your network (which might include disconnecting and reconnecting the physical adapter), and even when it claims it's connected to your network, you end up with network issues (which you find out once you've launched your browser). Sometimes the only way to get the adapter to work is by restarting your computer, which is asking a bit too much for a wireless adapter.

Other Thoughts: I might have received a refurbished dud. I didn't fully test the device until after the warranty period, so I can't complain to ASUS at this point. That being said, make sure you test yours once you receive it, as the reason it might have been RMAed in the first place might still be inherit in the device itself.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all

Pros: Price, appearance, works fine with minimal effort in a Linux desktop. Gets as good a speed as my wired connection, surprisingly, max speed with my router 20ft away through 2 walls.

Cons: Sometimes latency issue (not a product defect) I blame WiFi. No antenna but for this price you can't beat it. Quality hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsAdds wireless to a desktop

Pros: Easy way to add wireless to a desktop without opening up the case. Twice the speed of the old N adapter it replaced.

Cons: USB does not fit as snug as my old adapter, but it stays in place so I wont take off an egg

5 out of 5 eggsWorks awesome

Pros: Has been working great for over a year. I use this thing on my desktop at home and it performs great. Not the fastest, but it works fine. Enough for me to play games on without an issue. Driver installation was easy.
