Pros: Small, low power usage, simple setup

Cons: The simple setup is the problem. This unit is factory set to 192.168.1.1, typical IP address for such devices so no problems there. The problem is there is absolutely no way to change the IP address. This device is 192.168.1.1 and that's that! Considering I have about 10-15 other devices on my network configured to go to my NAT router which is 192.168.1.1 this means with this device plugged in my entire network becomes unusable as it fights for network traffic with my main router. This is most surprising as the WL-330N's predecessor, the WL-330Ge, does allow the IP address to change.

Other Thoughts: Just disappointed in ASUS for leaving out what is a fundamental feature of any network device; being able to set its IP.

Pros: Small, cheap

Cons: I used it only a couple of times, then it stopped working...talked with customer service for half an hour, but no luck. They offered my to ship the item to them and get it fixed, but it was was not worth that time and pain...not a recommended product...

Pros: Fairly easy to set-up. Small size. Increases hotspot usability.

Cons: I sometime have to refresh to login to router over wifi. It can run as little warm, so I make sure it is not in my bag when I have it on.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for the express purpose of sharing wifi hotspots that require some sort of log in (hotel, etc). For that it works perfectly. When you connect for the first time you need to connect to the router and have it connect to the hotspot. You then open a browser and put in the user credentials. When I turn it back on it automatically reconnects to the hotspot.
I have not tried the other functions.

It is small and light weight.

Pros: This little wonder is a great update to the G version I bought in 2010. It's small and packed with features. I use it as a WAP with MAC address filtering enabled. It does the job and has great range.

Cons: The G version had a mounting hole but this N version does not. It's not a big issue but it was nice to have. Also the power cord (i.e. MICRO USB cable) is very short. Neither is a deal breaker just would've been nice for easy mounting and not having to buy a longer cord.

Other Thoughts: Buy it if you need a portable wireless router or a WAP.

Pros: Pros: Small, light weight, and reasonably priced for what you get.

Cons: Now for the negative stuff....I purchased this device in hopes of increasing my wireless signal coverage at home. I also wanted to utilize it to boost my connection at work as it is an open source. However, upon receiving the device there were MAJOR problems with it right out of the box. For starters, the configuration is SO buggy that you have to log in, re-log in, and LOG in again to the repeater's configuration settings. After you finally get the ability to configure the device (You will spend 10-20mins just trying to log into it), you will notice that the wireless signal reception is very poor. I compared the device with my cell phone's wireless adapter and my cellular phone picks up twice the signal this device does. I tested it with the cell phone further away from my wireless access point and placed the Asus repeater closest to the WAP with the same results. I contacted Asus customer support to resolve the login/settings issue and had to wait 30mins on hold before I was able to get a tech representative. He and I confirmed that the device had the latest firmware (It did), made several adjustments and finally got it to work. However, after I spent almost 2 hours on the phone I did not even mention the poor wireless signal reception issue. I have used this device for two days now and it still has issues with login and settings management. The wireless signal reception has also not improved. I recommend that you STEER CLEAR of this device and purchase another brand, but DO NOT purchase Asus WL-330N!!!! Their customer support is poor, and the quality of this product has defiantly pushed me towards other manufacturers. I will not purchase another Asus product.

Pros: I bought this to get the n feature which topped the capabilities of this products predecessor, the ASUS WL-330gE. It works as described and is very helpful thing to have.

Cons: Unlike the WL-330gE, this puppy does not allow you to create a NEW SSID when using repeater mode, which is actually the reason why I bought this device. Certainly, a firmware upgrade could resolve this problem... but as a result of this, this device is hanging around as a "just in case" emergency WiFi access point in case a WiFi card goes berserk on any computer I have.

Other Thoughts: ASUS Tech Support is actually very great in terms of courtesy and being polite, but they were dumbfounded when I asked about the ability to rename the SSID in Repeater mode, and it took them quite some time to basically tell me it's impossible. I found this hard to believe - why would a feature from a predecessor be removed? I'm at a loss with this device.

Other Thoughts: I own five of these little boxes. Every time I want to add wireless ability to a wired device I buy another one. Whenever I want to connect to a wireless network without installing drivers and messing with Windows settings, I buy another one. Recently I had a chance to use a different mode of this gadget. I wanted to create a WiFi private network from a simple DSL Ethernet jack coming out of the wall. No problem-o. Just set the mode and configure it with the PC, then plug it into the jack of the modem and you've got yourself your own private network.

On earlier versions of the firmware there was occasion where it would come up in a foreign language rather than English. But, I took that more of a challenge than an obstacle.
