5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to install, works every time

Cons: The utility is useless and doesn't work

Other Thoughts: This is a great add on card. I have bought 4 of these and all have worked great. When you use the driver CD it gives an option of the utility or windows settings, select WINDOWS SETTINGS!!!! The utility will give you a migraine. This is compatible with Windows 10 and the range is good. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to go wireless on a desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsRefurbished is nothing to worry over

Pros: I bought this because I travel and have to use my verizon 4g mobile hotspot (unlimited) with my desktop. I do not need a serious router yet. this card handles the speed of the 4g device just fine and works flawlessly.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: no cons, it just looks ugly in the pc with a green pcb. everything else is black. but this isnt a con because I knew it was green

Pros: There is no pros for this item

Cons: Don't Buy This Piece of junk!! Drops off the Signal from 10 feet away, This is a total waste of money, For the past 3 months I thought my computer(that I built)was just terrible but instead it was just this piece of junk, this item wasted countless days of time for me trying to get my computer to load one simple website. Don't Buy This Item!!

4 out of 5 eggsSeems to work fine

Pros: Seems to work fine, although I am quite close to the Wifi router, so its distance might be pretty bad.

Cons: Had an issue where after our connection was reset the card couldn't find the network at all. Let Windows reset the card and that seemed to fix it. We'll see.

Other Thoughts: Per the advice of another review here, I'm not using the disc that came with it, just let Windows handle the drivers. Seems to work fine that way, although I never tried with the driver disk.

4 out of 5 eggsWatch the software...

Pros: It works. It's inexpensive. It certainly keeps up with cable internet. Physical install was easy.

Cons: The utility slowed the card down by a factor of 50-100. It took me a while to figure it out.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT INSTALL the utility. DL the drivers from ASUS, unzip them some place, physically install the card and then install the drivers through Device Manager. Let Windows control the card.

1 out of 5 eggsRefurbished? Yeah right!

Pros: Shipped quick. DVD and parts were included

Cons: The machine booted with this in it. However, once up to Windows, before even logging in, about 80% of the time the machine hard-locked (not even a BSoD), I tried without the bracket, and in 2 different machines. My XP machine didn't even boot. Bios hung. Vista would hang before logging in. if I logged in, it hung before it would load the driver. If I could get to that. My Windows 7 Pro (x64) machine would BSoD upon loading. Pulling the card resulted in normal boot. Tried multiple times. This card was junk

Other Thoughts: Refurbished usually means tested working. If refurbished is returned to factory, they should test it to see if it works. This must've just been thrown back in the box before QC could even look at it. While it included all the parts, I have never put a card into a PC that has hard-locked a machine in the middle of a BIOS boot. Even on the slow memory count (Diagnostic boot) the machine would lock up, before even counting all the RAM.

That said, Newegg was called (I was NOT covering shipping) and I got them to pay for the UPS shipping. Call them for shipping RMA. If you call on phone, they will give you a UPS label if you ask. Don't pay to ship back RMA's anymore!
