1 out of 5 eggsDidn't work with Microsoft Devices

Pros: I could connect my Android, Blackberry, and iOS devices

Cons: Would not connect a Windows 8.1 laptop, a Windows phone, or a Surface RT. Don't know why any of these devices wouldn't work out of the box. The company called Microsoft is a pretty big player in computer devices...

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great, flexible configuration

Pros: Used one of these as our primary wireless router, then after a FIOS install in Access Point mode. Worked fine both ways, solid connections and easy setup.

Cons: none I've seen

Other Thoughts: A very good deal when newegg has it on special. I've already bought another as a spare.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus RT-N10P

Pros: Excellent for the price has 3 guest accounts easy setup nice display setup interface. For the price very good deal I have always been a big fan of ASUS since I been using there motherboards all the way back to 2001.

Cons: The only con I have is I did some research on this before I bought as I wanted to put DD-WRT on it as the firmware many said it could be done spent 12 hours no luck. So if you want DD-WRT on this if you are NOT very tech strong not the router and no help from DD forum. BUT if you want out of the box cheap good router this is my pick.

Other Thoughts: Very clean looks just 1 antenna not the best range but good. As I said I like ASUS products would of give a 100% if I could of loaded dd-wrt but that said good product. As for Newegg I really enjoy buying from them. Have been a customer since about 2001 never let down.

1 out of 5 eggslemon unit??

Pros: expensive price with rebate.

Cons: WAN port will not recognized connection to modem. I updated to most current firmware and same situation...it is non functioning...I think this unit is lemon... Fortunately, it has "Repeater" mode and wireless is working, so I set it up as repeater and working as that at this moment.
I can't return this unit to Newegg because I already submitted rebate process, hope I get rebate back.

Other Thoughts: I've had about 5 different ASUS modem in the past and they are usually reliable, one died after over 3 years of use, due to capacitor giving up and other fail to retain setting and needed occasional resetting... Usually ASUS is good, but this one.. no good...

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as repeater as well

Pros: Great price. Works in 3 different modes(router mode, AP mode, repeater mode). Has 4x 100Mbs ports. Tomato compatible.

Cons: No giga ports. 2.4GHz only.

Other Thoughts: I bought it to use as repeater. Easy setup using stock firmware.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little router

Pros: Nice features for the price. Setup is very easy- I was up and running in under five minutes. Stable and solid performance.

Cons: None, really.

Other Thoughts: This is a great router if you don't need the advanced features of a more expensive model. Even though it's the budget model, ASUS still included lots of nice touches like a power switch and guest network.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Signal coverage is far , when it works.

Cons: The data speed was unstaple, sometimes low and a little jumpy afterward. So I updated the firmware like I always did to my routers. Then, this router was dead. and it was not even a week after I got it.

Other Thoughts: Bought it from Newegg for $15 with a $10 mir offer. It's such a shame that I cut off the barcodes too early . Since I cannot return it to newegg(barcodes gone) and I have to pay my shipping to send over the RMA to Asus, and there's no guarantee that it won't die on me again, I decided to throw it to the trash .
So, if you are using this card and experiencing jumpy performance , don't even think about update firmware.

4 out of 5 eggsWOW!

Pros: Got these on sale and figured I could sell them as cheap routers for some of my less demanding clients. However I am very surprised at what they offer for low end routers.

Asus has really done well with these units. Not only do they have the standard easy setup, they are very powerful devices. Detachable antenna, router mode, AP mode, repeater mode, port based authentication, multiple networks with different QoS, and IGMP!

Frankly they offer a TON of features right out the box without having to flash custom firmware.

Cons: Only fast Ethernet. Setup is done through unsecured wifi.

Other Thoughts: Um, BUY BUY BUY if you are like me who deploy APs in different organizations.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good

Pros: Easy to Install
Universal compatbility to all routers
strong reception

Cons: requires a little experimenting if this is your first time setting up a repeater.
instructions could've been better

Other Thoughts: Currently have this setup as a repeater just for netflix streaming and also movie streaming. No issue so far. Had it on since day one without having the need to reset. So far so good.
