2 out of 5 eggsRebate Not Approved

This review is from: ASUS RT-N10P Wireless N150 Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Pros: Works and range is good

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: My husband submitted the rebate and got denied. Reason is "Mismatch Address – Name/address on the rebate form must match the invoice". Yeah the order is under my name, but, what is wrong having him submit the rebate? It's the same address and we only got one anyway. ASUS, if you see this, just get the rebate approved and mailed. I don't believe there is so much hassle over 10 bucks. I never had this kind of problems buying stuff from local Fry's.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Router

This review is from: ASUS RT-N10P Wireless N150 Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Pros: Supports Tomato, 300N speeds. Router is overall a good upgrade from a 54G network. It has great speed and is easily upgraded to Tomato firmware for open source fun.

Cons: Single antenna, limited range. Stock firmware is cumbersome and just plain annoying.

Other Thoughts: The connection detection applet in the stock firmware is hard to get used to. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to an open source firmware asap and save yourself the headache of the stock firmware.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: ASUS RT-N10P Wireless N150 Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Pros: Easy to install, good signal strength.

Cons: Only get 72Mbps max

Other Thoughts: Have been running for around 3 days, no issue so far. Installation was so easy, so easy, I meant too easy. Signal strength is always showing excellent. The only downside is that I'm only getting 72Mbps max, can't get over that, some other devices only get 58Mbps. Anyway, it's still running stock firmware.

5 out of 5 eggsGood router specially for the price after rebate

This review is from: ASUS RT-N10P Wireless N150 Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Pros: Very easy to configure and connect to the cable modem.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Have not tried the Tomato firmware yet, put it on my friends home when his router went sideways. The installation was every easy and smooth. Guest SSID is easy to set up, Will have to try the Tomato firmware and report back.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS RT-N10P Wireless N150

This review is from: ASUS RT-N10P Wireless N150 Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Pros: Cheap. Easy to set up. Good signal with out dropping. Very solid router. Good for buildings that have a lot of networks.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I own about 7 routers different brands, expensive and cheap. This is my first ASUS router. It works better than all of them together. On WiFi I get speed I never had before. I wish I could of got it sooner. Thank Asus, I finally have fast and efficient and stable WiFi all over my apartment.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat router at a great price!

This review is from: ASUS RT-N10P Wireless N150 Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Pros: Super easy setup, fast speeds for the price, came with ethernet cable, looks decent.

Cons: The ethernet cable included is short but that is a very minor problem.

Other Thoughts: I use this router as a wireless extender and it works beautifully. Coverage was boosted. I was happy to see how fast the router can be set up. Their 30 second claim is definitely possible. Overall it is a great router at a great price and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap router that is easy to use.

1 out of 5 eggsJust getting half the speed wirelessly

This review is from: ASUS RT-N10P Wireless N150 Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Pros: Inexpensive router after the cash rebate

Cons: Not getting the full speed when connected wirelessly
Non existent tech support if your device works, great otherwise don't expect anything from them.

Other Thoughts: I have a Charter spectrum 60 mbps download and 4 mbps upload but only get 30 mbps download with the ASUS RT-N10P router though the signal strength is good and the firmware is the latest one. When connected directly to the router using cable the speed is 60 mbps.

I get 60 mbps with the Netgear R6300v2 wireless router provided by Charter and if connected directly to the cable modem.

I spoke with ASUS tech support and they said that this is a lower model so you are not getting the full speed which doesnt make sense?

There are others who are getting full 60 mbps speed without any issue and it seems that the problem is related to the router though instead of addressing the problem they shrugged off by saying that this is lower model router and you need to purchase an expensive router because if doesn't support high speed.

I purchased the router because of ASUS name in graphic card and motherboard which I have and they are amazing but this router was a big let down.
