5 out of 5 eggsGreat lil Switch.

Pros: Easy to install, lights are a nice blue and not to bright, no real installation, just connect, and power on.

Cons: Only one i can find is that the cable connections are in the wrong position.

If you hang it on a wall with the cables pointing down, the text on the switch will be inverted, if you want the text to point the right way up, the cables have to come in from above.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT GET THIS SWITCH

Pros: Worked fine for few weeks
its a switch.
very easy to install

Cons: after 1 week this constantly needs to be restarted.
will randomly drop clients.
dropped clients would say they are connected to internet but with no connection whatsoever and the only solution is to reset this switch

Other Thoughts: My friend had a good reliable Asus router so i bought this instead of Cisco one to save some bucks. Funny thing is that his router also started doing the same thing right after mine.

I also had Asus powerline adapter that i had to replace with TP-link because it was giving me constant 1mbps up/down with over 300ms pings.

Its not like i'll never buy Asus again, but I will definitely never buy Asus networking gears anymore.

5 out of 5 eggsAn excellent switch that's stylish to boot.

Pros: Compact size and stylish design. Blue LEDs are always cool. It just works.

Cons: No metal housing (if that's important).

Other Thoughts: These switches look good and work perfectly. I bought them to replace a set of Trendnet switches that still worked (I just wanted something new) and they are connected to Asus's RT-AC68R router. Anyone needing a new switch should pick up a pair; they'll add a bit of style to your home network!

5 out of 5 eggsA nice looking, 8-port Gigabit switch from a reputable brand that works straight out of the box!

Pros: + Simply works - right out of the box
+ Wall-mountable
+ Looks nice. It's got a sleek shape rather than a plain-Jane black/blue box, and the Ethernet ports are on the back (nice for a Home network, not-so-much for an enterprise situation)
+Price was great! (I got a unit on sale for $25, and with a $10 rebate bringing my investment down to $15)
+ 8 gigabit ports

Cons: - The cord for the AC adapter is a little short, but not TOO bad

Other Thoughts: Pretty much all that is required from an un-managed network switch that's designed for Home LAN use is for it to simply WORK without hindering network throughput. This 8-port 10/100/1000 switch from ASUS does just that.

It's pretty much a plug-and-play device. It works right out of the box -- plug it in, run a patch cord to it from your router (or wherever your WAN source is coming from), and BAM! -- 7 extra Gigabit ports for you to use.

I am personally using this unit in combination with a Netgear R7000 (Nighthawk) router, and it has been rock solid stable ever since I first powered it on.

This switch from ASUS is an easy recommendation for anyone who is looking for a Gigabit-capable switch for their local LAN or home network, especially when it's on sale.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like expected

Pros: No software to install, no configuration to do and VOIP port is first priority device. Very small for an 8 port device.

Cons: No problems encountered.

Other Thoughts: connected this to my ASUS RT--AC68 and it picked up every device without any problems. I use a DHCP laser printer and It moved without any problem Left the OOMA in the router for now though.

5 out of 5 eggsGood little switch

Pros: Gigabit, great looks, rear power and RJ45 connections, VIP port, price

Cons: None, powered up, everything works as advertised. Speed is as expected.

Other Thoughts: Not much to say about an unmanaged switch, but it works, and the price was right.

5 out of 5 eggsworked well and stable.. for a month..

Pros: it worked very stable for a month...
the vip port is good. I used it for iptv...
because my network connection box is in my boot rack, in narrow space it works with two routers but its temperature is not high.

Cons: its manual is not kind for beginners.
