The PCE-AC68 uses Broadcom's new 5th generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac chipset to reach speeds of up to 1.3Gbit/s through the 5GHz band, which is three times faster than 802.11n Wi-Fi.

At the same time, it maintains full backward compatibility with all previous Wi-Fi protocols, providing high performance two-way transmission while ensuring a smooth transition to 802.11ac and seamless interconnection with existing devices.

Broadcom TurboQAM hardware integrated on the PCE-AC68 brings the speed benefits of next-generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

At 600Mbit/s and 1.3Gbit/s respectively, they turn the PCE-AC68 into a formidable AC1900 wireless adapter, providing speeds that cannot be bettered by generic wireless adapters.

Connect the PCE-AC68 to ASUS networks to attain the very highest possible Wi-Fi speeds.

5 out of 5 eggsMEETS the NEED for SPEED!

Pros: Fast, simple, superior connection strength and stability, innovative remote antennae, can utilize all the latest protocols, and the magnetic base on the antennae stand is helpful (and it's got a little bit of weight, so it's not some ounce-and-a-half piece of cheap plastic).

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: Remote antennae cable could be a skooch longer

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!

Pros: Cheap for the performance you get. I bought this in preparation of getting an AC router and so far it works well on my N router that I have currently. Software install was a breeze and have not had any connectivity issues!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsThe one.

Pros: I bought this because a cheaper variation of this from a different brand was hilariously terrible. It fits snug right above my GTX770 and magnetic antennae sits right on top of my case. Love having my ISP as the bottleneck, as it should be.

Cons: It's up there in price, but it's justified.

5 out of 5 eggsOk, Now I believe.....

Pros: Great connection so far, no drops, install was overly easy and now I'm gaming better than when I was wired. I'm even mixing right now with my ISP's modem/router and its still great. If you have the money, do it.

Cons: Non so far.

Other Thoughts: Been very leery about going wireless but I guess it comes down to being able to put the money into it instead of going for the cheap option.

Pros: This is an awesome wireless option, No issues what-so-ever, signal is always strong and precise.

Cons: None. Price is dead on, and functions as expected, only better.

Other Thoughts: Super happy. I can game without fear of losing due to dropped packets!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy install. Getting 433 Mbps on ac (using their software to get that speed) which is more than enough for my needs. Also works well with their RT-AC68U.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsNo need to run a LAN cable!

Pros: Combined with the RT-AC68U router, this gives a incredibly fast, solid connection, and 1.3Gb (Yes, Gigabit!) connection speed in a location where our old N Wireless had dropouts and weak connections. Antenna stand is not super attractive, but very useful.

Cons: An expensive combination.

Other Thoughts: Our spare room is in an awkward place to run a LAN cable, and the old Wireless N signal was not the best - very frustrating at time. This combination from Asus has given us totally solid and fast connections - I ran a backup from the other room, and it was fast.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat wifi pci express

Pros: 1. Supports the latest wifi band ac
2. Nice quality build on it
3. Included a external magnetized base antenna

Cons: 1. Driver issue asus seems to get this a lot on there latest devices on windows 8 or 8.1 (It is a hit and miss some other work fine sometimes you need to reinstall the driver)
2. For some reason if you are not using the magnetized base it seems to get lower reception. I am pairing this device on my asus router ac68r which should work fine together but i see some Issue on the reception.
3. Price is a little steep

Other Thoughts: This device work well when it wants to work. I gave it 4 stars cause it fixes my issue of slow connection. I just hope asus can fix the weak signal on the 5ghz band. Other than that I am happy with it and will keep it
