4 out of 5 eggsWorks with Windows 8.1

Pros: Works well and I get a very fast connection. I haven't been able to test it yet through walls or at a long distance though. Kind of pricey but for some reason my regular PCI express card wouldn't work anymore once I installed 8.1. This is the first PCI express card I've bought and it works like a charm so crysis averted. Because having no wireless internet would be a crysis.....first world problems

Cons: Kind of pricey.

1 out of 5 eggsusesless

Pros: heat sink. give it to someone for xmas

Cons: does not work any better than the $8 tp-link card it replaced barely can connect to a new matching router in the next room on either band yes tried the antenna config and such

Other Thoughts: what a waste of money would send it back if it was possible $80 paperweight

1 out of 5 eggsTwo Defectives in a row

Pros: If it had worked it would likely have been nice.

Cons: Both the original and the RMA replacement were defective.

Other Thoughts: The device was capable of functioning so long as you didn't want to use the antennas. Once you plugged them in it would cause a BSOD on Windows7 x64. This happened with the original purchase and the replacement unit. When I contacted Asus support they suggested an RMA for the second unit. With experiencing the same issue twice I have no confidence in their product and will be returning for refund.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Easy to install

Gives you a solid lightning speed Internet connection!! I have a 108.32Mb/s Download speed!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My Internet speed using this card is:

108.32Mb/s
Upload 19.63Mb/s
PING 1 ms

I clocked my speeds on Speedtest.net The test was taken from my desktop placed in my basement which is super far from my Internet router. I am stunned by these speeds! Online gaming is so much better! Thanks ASUS!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great on Windows7 and 8.1. Just a note, it will only get what your router can put out, but it does to the max.

Cons: so far none

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: Easy, ZERO issue install (Windows 8 64bit on an AMD chipset)
great, in depth configuration tool
consistent speeds with ZERO drops (133mbps 2.4Ghz on mixed mode, 700mbps on 5Ghz 802.11ac)
looks cool
external antenna

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I can't recommend this wireless NIC enough. It works flawlessly with my Apple Airport Extreme 802.11ac router and everything else on my network.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome wireless card

Pros: Awesome range - I play a lot of online games and I currently have my computer on the 3rd floor with the router on the 1st floor and the connection is rock solid and I get the full 30mbit/s offered by my ISP with a ping equal to running a hardwire.
Been testing different routers (newer N and a cheaper AC router) lately to get a connection worthy of playing online games because I can't really run a hardwire to my computer because I live in a really old New England home. Never really got a good connection with my old n300 wireless card so decided to give this one a shot. So happy that I did - and I'm actually able to use my 8 year old router and get better speed and ping than the new routers I tried (they sure don't build routers now like they used to).
Planning on eventually getting a higher quality AC router to match this awesome card once my ISP upgrades to 60mbit later this year.

Pros:
x Awesome range
x Reliable - no dropped connection in over 2 weeks of ownership
x Looks nice!
x Love the detachable antenna so I can place for optimal connection
x Antenna base is magnetic so you can stick in on your computer case

Cons: None - very happy with this wireless card
