5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Easy to Install, just plug in and let Windows install the drivers. Works fine with my Motorola V540.

Cons: Retina Piercing Bright Blue Light.

Other Thoughts: I bought it to sync my Motorola V540 with Outlook and it works fine using the Motorola Software.

5 out of 5 eggsUnit works like a sharm

Comments: Just ordered one for my laptop to use it with my handsfree/cel phone. Works great with their stock driver (uses Broadcomm stack). Works with my HS820 Handsfree+Firefly/Skype

3 out of 5 eggsOkay Buy...

Comments: http://www.schmanke.com To keep it short, I have Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 1. (SP2 screws up your computer if its not fresh..) Anyway, I plug it in and follow the directions. Now, for the possitives, this device is very, very small and the blue LED is kinda cool. (Had no problems for it "being too bright") Anyway, after following the instructions (which are kinda messed up because it suggests you to first let XP pick up the drivers automatically, and then insert the CD and install THEIR drivers afterwards. ??? I don't really get it but bottom line, by not having SP2 (I think that is/was the problem), it screwed up my whole computer. Not only was it not synching with my cellphone bluetooth connection, but my LAN was lost. I removed all the drivers and the LAN still didn't work. I re-installed the drivers, changed a few things around, and the bluetooth worked and the network connection STILL didn't. Working on it for over 2 1/2 hours, I finally had/have to take a break 1:00 am! As I am writing this review, the bluetooth STILL doesn't work, and I don't know what I am going to do. (Probably have to do a reformat, re-install ALL of my million programs, and put on SP2...) (And for a side note, I tried doing something different on ANOTHER machine I had laying around, (it has XP Home, SP1 as well), and not only was the bluetooth not working, but I lost ethernet connection on THAT one as well.) O well, I guess it suggests Service Pack 2, and if that is what really is causing all this trouble, then it's my fault, but I at least think they should say SP2 is required or something. I am totally screwed now. (Took another hour or two to finally get my network back up...) Bottom line: I guess the actual product might be good, but stil haven't gotten it to work on either of my machines. Good luck though!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Divice

Comments: This is a very easy adaptor to use with Windows XP. It even works with my Motorola V551 cell phone. It even work well under Windows 98SE. I would recommend this to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply the best!

Comments: I'm using two of these, one at work and one at home, they both work perfectly. Installed without any drivers and work smoothly with SP2. I used other brands that don't work with SP2, so watch out. Just buy this one and guarentee you'll be happy with it.

4 out of 5 eggssweet item

Comments: One of the smallest usb bluetooth adapters ive used. Installation was a breeze, sp2 picked it up. I however installed the JAHT drivers as I wanted the advanced features. My ipaq now syncs wirelessly and problem free, and i can transfer to and from my phone with no problems. However still cannot get motorolla's Mobile Phone tools to work.
However still a very good product, hihly recomend it.

Comments: Absolutely painless setup - plugged it in, and Win XP (SP2) found the drivers and installed all the necessary software - never even had to open the CD. Communicates just great with my Motorola V551 phone.

3 out of 5 eggs

Comments: purchased to have bluetooth communications with my cell phoone. Pretty easy plug in, insert cd, run drivers, done! However keep in mind the speed on this particular one is slow (18-24 kbs @ 3 feet). And yes the blue light on it is bright as heck. Prolly end up getting a faster one later, I only use it for small ringtones anyways. Average due to bright light/slow speed.

Comments: Seems to work well enough.. no problems really. I agree with the other guy that the light is annoyingly bright. It lights up half the wall at night behind my PC, even when its off... If I bought another one, I would probably spend a couple $ more on a Bluetooth 1.2 dongle instead of 1.1
