5 out of 5 eggsGreat NIC, does the job

Pros: It's a pretty simple product, but no complaints. I needed to be able to connect to two different wired networks, so this was perfect along with the integrated network port on the motherboard.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this product. It's inexpensive, but works great.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Decent little NIC. Ran fine out of the box. PCIe. TINY TINY TINY little card. Works great at 1000Mb.

Cons: None to speak of.

Other Thoughts: Droppped two into my linux tax return box for network experiments and teaming. Works great.

Admittedly it is not a realtek chipset, but i really have no preference for nic chipsets because i don't write low level network driver stacks.

Did not come with a low profile adapter bracket, which is exactly what i needed, as i ordered the "high profile" version.

Linux user, don't even have an optical drive, so i never even inserted the CD that came with it to comment.

What's really impressive is just how tiny this little card is. 100% integrated. The only packages on the board are the lights, socket, magnetics, a little asic and some power elements. Very impressive, and a plus for me because my motherboard layout puts two of these cards in VERY close proximity to a double slot video card. Despite being so close, the amazingly miniscule 1.5x2" size of the cards block exactly zero airflow to my intake fans.

1 out of 5 eggsDont bother

Pros: LED (if it counts -_-)

Cons: Everything, doesn't work, cant get a proper ip unless i set it manually (pain for me because of my dynamic internet)

Other Thoughts: Not a realtek chipset (what i was hoping for)
Just spend the exrta 5$ somewhere else

2 out of 5 eggsnot a realtek chipset

Pros: gigabit
pci-e 1x

Cons: not a realtek RTL8111 chipset (its an Agere ET-1310)
wont obtain IP via DHCP seems to work if I manually config IP (all other computers grab DHCP ip's fine)

Other Thoughts: too cheap to return and I cut the bracket to fit a low profile slot so I will just get something different next time.

2 out of 5 eggsSYBA Sd-OEX24009 10/ 100/1000Mbps PCI_Express Network Card

Pros: Windows XP loaded drivers and card worked great for about 5 hours last night. I rebooted 2 times during this time period to be sure it loaded each time. It did, no problems.. Then I shut down for the night.

Cons: The card does not work today. So I moved it to slot #two and still don`t work. Windows sees the card, loads the driver but then reports a cable unplugged.Cat5 cable is good and working with a D-Link PCI card.

Other Thoughts: Maybe just a bad card but I cannot recommend.
