1 out of 5 eggsThis is a fraudulent company!!

Pros: Price

Cons: Don't trust this company and buy any products from them. Please check Better Business Bureau's listing (www.bbb.org) for this company before buying from them. This company has a "F" rating which means they involve in fraudulent practices and BBB does not recommend them. My rebate has been due for over 3 months and their CSRs (if they have any!!) never reply to the emails and don't have a phone number listed on the rebate form. Buy a good product from reputed company. Don't waste ur money buying this company's products

1 out of 5 eggsDon't ever trust airnet's rebate

Pros: none.

Cons: Very bad reception. Disconnected itself fairly frequenctly. Never respond to rebate enquiry.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card with a 19.00 rebate about half a year ago and I still have not received anything from them. I have emailed them many times. They do not even acknowledged my email. Because of its poor reception, it is not a product that you should buy even if it is cheap. Just a few more dollars and you can get something far better.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, does its job well.

Cons: Not as strong as more expensive adapters.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. This adapter DOES work in XP x64. It took a little bit of time to find a compatible driver. Do a search for a SysKonnect SK-54C1 and find the x64 driver. It works for me.

2 out of 5 eggsVery Mediocre

Pros: It is cheap. It can hold a signal well if you are close enough.

Cons: This adapter falls apart at long ranges. I found it somewhat challenging to get working, as I attempted to use the CD to install its driver. I eventually uninstalled the driver from the CD and got the utility manager from the site to recognize it and let me configure the adapter.

Other Thoughts: It isn't an expensive product, if you are going to be in pretty close proximity to your router and getting all 54 mbs isn't vital, I'd give it a try.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of junk

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Bought for older system. Installed and system would not POST. Another system successfully installed card, but WLAN signal strength was much lower than reported by other cards.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card, better price

Pros: Works on Windows XP and Windows 2000 without any hitches at all. No need to instal the software on WinXP, just the driver. Also works on Kubuntu Breezy (with ndiswrapper and the XP driver).

Cons: Has some slight issues on Linux when making lots of connections. Loss of connectivity, slow speeds.

Other Thoughts: Really a great card for the money, haven't had any real problems with it.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked on old mobo, not on new

Pros: Bought 2 of these. One is in my wife's PC and works fine. One was in my PC and worked fantastic until I upgraded motherboard..

Cons: Once I switched to a Core2Duo E6400 on an ASROCK 775 Dual-VSTA mobo, things started going wrong. I cannot delete the device from windows! "Windows requires this device to boot up" is what I see. Card now works for about maybe 1-10 minutes then network stack dies and I have to reboot. Weirdest thing. I guess it's incompatible with the mobo.

Other Thoughts: Giving this to a friend and will probably buy a card that has higher reviews on Newegg. It's not like they're expensive or anything, but I sure as heck hope the next one can actually be removed from device manager if I so choose!

3 out of 5 eggsnot what it advertises!! but...

Pros: DIRT CHEAP!!! pretty good fro cheap--however....

Cons: AIRNET...uummm, ive bought a few products from this manufacturer. All of them are cheap. and being cheap is expensive. Go with a more brand name device when it comes to switches/routers/hubs/PMCIA cards. But if you are looking for something dirt cheap to slap in a box--check this card out! the software that is packaged with can just be tossed. (pretty much all airnet soft is terrible, or does not work)

Other Thoughts: **advertised with WEP 128bits, but get only 104bits** that is VERY ANNOYING!! but overall, again, u get what u pay for. i know nothing this cheap that works ok.
