5 out of 5 eggsHighly configurable & reliable

Pros: Replace my older Cisco 871 which won't be able to handle the up coming FIOS speeds over 30Mbps even without security features enable.
Moderate learning curve on how to configure this router/firewall. First time owning a Sonicwall, I have to say it's amazing on how much you can do with this box. Very secure since you can control what goes in and out of your network, & advance firewall features. Lots of monitoring tools and statics.
If you have decent understanding of how a firewall works, it won't take you long to figure out how to work with this device and the terminology Sonicwall uses. Example, Cisco calls it access list, here it's call access rules. Coming from a Cisco user I can't be more happier.

I have a TF2, CSS, Garry's Mod dedicated servers plus a web server and few others running behind the LAN. It has been up for a month straight now, I hope it will be as stable and last as long as my Cisco 871.

Cons: Single CPU/core
Expensive security service licenses if you want to keep up with IPS, anti-spyware and others. Really unnecessary features, which also slows down your network speeds.

Other Thoughts: Took me only 2 days of learning how Sonicwall terms and how to create firewall rules, services (ports), and NAT policies (port forwarding). Thanks to youtube video.
Still running cable with speeds of 32 down and 6 up. In March will be getting FIOS!

4 out of 5 eggsSolid performer

Pros: Overall easy to set up for advanced firewall folks. The webUI is fairly straight forward. The wizards also work well for those who are not overly familiar or just want to set something up real quick.
Ability to use a USB cell adapter for emergency type connections or mobile networks.

Cons: none really, though if you are not familiar with the vebiage/terminology, you may find it somewhat confusing. This is meant for small business, not home use or home office. The 100 series would be much better for that arena and runs in the low 200 bucks range.

Other Thoughts: Price, though for what you get, I still think it is a good deal. I just would prefer it to be in the $500 range, since there doesn't seem to be anything in price point. either low 200's or mid 700... seems odd.
