The new SonicWALL TZ 105 is the most secure Unified Threat Management (UTM) firewall available for small offices, home offices and small retail deployments. Unlike consumer-grade products, the TZ 105 delivers the proven, most effective intrusion prevention, anti-malware and content/URL filtering, along with the broad mobile platform support for laptops, smartphones and tablets. It provides full deep packet inspection (DPI) at very high performance levels, eliminating the network bottleneck that other products introduce, and enabling organizations to realize increased productivity gains without the increased cost.
Easy to set up
Pros: - Good brand reputation for security
Cons: no cons that I can see..
Other Thoughts: I'm not an expert in firewalls and networking. The setup wizards worked very well, and made it possible for me to set up this firewall on my fixed IP domain network. I was able to save the important info from my dying Netgear, so I had all the IP's, etc. that I needed to input. I also ran a wizard that allowed me to easily set up ftp access to one of my network servers. It couldn't have been easier! I was very impressed with the firmware and interface, etc.

Pros: Great router for small + medium sized businesses.
Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for, it's worth spending more for business class equipment for use in a business environment over consumer/home equipment.

Great SOHO device
Pros: Uses the same quality SonicOS as it's predecessor TZ-100. Reasonably easy to configure as a standard router inside a DSL or Cable internet connection. Extremely configurable outside of the standard information needed. I have one of these configured with multiple LAN's; a business network, and an isolated network for our lab.
Cons: SonicWall owned by DELL now, so hard to say long term if the quality will hold up down the road. So far, support hasn't changed much, so kudos there. But Dell scares me with their ongoing quality issues in their business PC area, so I can only hope that they do not change their manufacturing or design processes to be like their PC products.
Other Thoughts: This device, like most other SonicWall devices is highly configurable. Venturing outside the capabilities of the wizards (which help you with basic tasks only) will require more than entry-level knowledge of network protocols, routing, etc. As far as what this device can do, it is comparable to the capabilities of equivalent Cisco devices, but at a much lower price in most cases.
